Sony spent billions building a gaming console just for someone to turn it into a PC running Windows 💀😭 Imagine paying for a PS5 and discovering it was a gaming PC with a corporate identity crisis. 💀

@LoneDragonDev Exactly, I first made a simple square grid, but it didn't give the same feel as the real one; however, after tweaking the grid to have an irregular shape, it became more natural, which really shows how sometimes tiny details make a huge difference.
Just a little Townscaper replica I built while learning exploring Blender + GPT Astra. 🏘️🌊
Not trying to reinvent it yet, just spending some time rebuilding something I love.

@naman_jain28 Yeah, exactly. I’m not aiming for a generic “AI villager” system. I want each character to have their own strengths and weaknesses. So someone might be a really fast builder but terrible at selling, meaning putting them at a market would make you less money.
@marc0_dev Thanks! I’m actually more of a graphic designer than a 3D artist, so I used Blender + Astra 6 for this. But I didn’t just let the AI generate everything at each stage I reviewed the work and gave pretty strict guidelines/instructions, down to the small details.
@CharleMarx Thanks! I used Blender + Astra 6. I’m more of a graphic designer, so I approached it less like traditional 3D modelling and more like art direction. I’d review every stage, point out what felt off and give very specific instructions on even the minute details.
@naman_jain28 Thanks! Yeah, the autumn trees against the pines were a deliberate choice to break up the sea of green and give the island some seasonal character.
And the Work / Run / Use buttons are just placeholders right now, I’m using them to test the character AI.
