@diagon_swarm Jo, je to na Windows nevyřešený problém. Všechny mé displeje již jsou OLED a jediný problém je na malých DPI, kde jsem musel použít grayscale antialiasing (přes powertoys). Pro mě jsou OLED stále obrovský skok kupředu a toto je pro mě malý řešitelný detail. Ne ale pro běžné lidí.

@elkonstantin1 Jo tohle je pain když člověk nabíjí knoflíkové akumulátory a i pro některé USB-C nabíječky je to pod hranicí proudu pro zapnuti. Doteď používám USB-C měřák co zároveň odebírá dost na displej že to součtem dostane přes tu hranici i u powerbanky.

Tohle mi nepřišlo WhatsAppem. Otevřeně se hlásím k tomu, že ten obrázek jsem vytvořila sama.

Zároveň si dovoluji požádat novou českou vládu, aby mi v případě, že pan velvyslanec mé země @Vasyl_Zvarych získá status persona non grata, rovnou zahájila i řízení o mé deportaci.
Mlčet totiž nehodlám. Nebudu mlčet ve chvíli, kdy je můj národ, který se statečně brání agresorovi, poléván proruskou lží a špínou.

V březnu 2022 jsem s jedním batohem a stovkou eur v hotovosti přijela do hrdé země, která tehdy stála na straně spravedlnosti. Přijela jsem sem proto, že jsem věřila v západní hodnoty a v to, že tato země bude pro mě bezpečná.

Žít v malém ruském satelitu opravdu nemám v úmyslu.
Děkuji za pochopení.

A upřímně děkuji tisícům Čechů, co pokračuji v pomoci Ukrajině.

It's time for Microsoft to have another XPSP2 moment. No more AI, no more features. Just fixes.

When I was working on Windows XP, Blaster hit. It was a big enough deal that we set aside all feature work.

For the next several months, all we did was improve security. We didn't add "security features"; we fixed bugs. Lots of bugs. Until there weren't security bugs to fix anymore.

Then we fixed the ones we didn't know about yet.

Put more simply, we stopped trying to "add value" to the product through features that PMs thought users would like, and instead we focused on the things that had been important for a long time, but overlooked.

Like performance and configurability today.

Rather than trying to improve and add value to the system through new AI features -now-, I argue it's time for Microsoft to stabilize, improve, and make the system more performant. And more usable for power users.

Just for one release. Just till it doesn't suck.

🇪🇺 ChatControl is back!

Now they're trying to pass an even more far reaching ChatControl law through the back door, in a form even more intrusive than the originally rejected plan, without needing any of the EU countries votes

The new proposal:
- total mandatory surveillance of ALL text chats, emails and social media in the EU
- obligatory registration of your ID/passport to your chat, email or social media account
- minimum age requirement for chat, email and social media apps of 16 (!)

The only way to stop this law is if EU countries veto it

@Gragagrogog @eevblog Qualcomm and Broadcom are the usual suspects anywhere I look, be it phones or routers.

Though I still have hopes that the right to repair movement could one day do something about the software side too. Overall the phones are made obsolete not because of HW but because of SW.

Or in case of MSVC being terrible at vectorizing most non-trivial cases using intrinsics/assembly makes sense from the get go. Otherwise I prefer to write naive code first, profile, then optimize.

@joysfera @OK9UWU Záleží na podmínkách grantu. Pokud tam je rozpor, tak jasně, ale bez znalosti detailů to brát jako krádež je nefér vůči OpenAI. Presumpce neviny, ne?

@joysfera @OK9UWU Záchranáři ocenili snahu, ale ponorku označili za nepraktickou kvůli úzkému prostoru. Místo konfliktu mohl Elon kritiku přijmout jako zpětnou vazbu. Jeho reakce tomu však bohužel nenasvědčuje.
