Director @octophindigital building things for the wildlife conservation sector. I sometimes make music, poetry, web art. Mostly posted music recommendations.
Hi! After force redirecting browsers and deleting the app I've broken out and left. Not moving to a single new place but FilipNest on Mastodon, work on LinkedIn and WILDLABS, music on the Elektronauts and Drowned In Sound forums. https://t.co/nawRp9oC56, email, world, telephone.
I've loved it here and care for so many people I've met or interacted with. I wish for a truly global, kind and well moderated platform to surface so we can do this again.💖

I cannot stay on a platform run by someone who spreads transphobic, racist and sexist hate, mocks disabled people, attacks scientists, treats workers horribly and kills a great community. I feel no organisation or individual with any moral standing is right to be on here anymore.
@BBCPolitics@BBCNews Instead of creating safe routes in and actually making money from their contributions. Utter madness not only morally but economically.
"especially during the “Under the Sea” scene with all the different sea creatures doing their dance, they picked so immaculately all the species that in real life would’ve moved like that."
This interview is a thing of beauty.
In fact, nearly all the fishes in the film were modelled after real species! Read my interview for @Slate magazine for an ichthyologist’s perspective! https://t.co/ITkAXoWjeG
New paper exploring the #LivingPlanetIndex project’s evolution over 25 yrs: the index & its development, applications, & future directions. Thanks to @LPI_Science & co-authors – a great team effort! Thrilled! My 1st, 1st author paper in @npjbiodiversity! https://t.co/2sSlroGAxi
@FINOkoye I only watched Hercules fairly recently and thought it was fun but a bit too simple and felt like an episode of a series. But the mythology has so many great things to go for so yeah, this could look gorgeous. But not totally sold on a need for it.
@FINOkoye I love Tangled so much I can't have rational conversations but its artwork was based around this sort of thing so I possibly think it's more magical in paint vs photo.
@seaninsound As a long term Tidal user I just wish they stuck with / expanded the thing where 10% of your subscription goes to the artists you listen to the most. Not sure how much impact it has but it feels nice. Not seen it promoted in the app as much anymore but hope it's still a thing.
Wishing all CEOs of organisations completely unrelated to wildlife that promote-tweet wildlife imagery and facts to get followers a swift death through bears, being pecked to death by eagles, drowned by dolphins and such. Ants. Maybe a lot of ants.
