My main account (at)DomonicRiley got s*sp*nd*d for "inauthentic activity", whatever that means. I appealed but that was rejected, so looks like that's it. 5 years gone.
For now I'll be posting on this, my backup, and probably change the name & pfp soon.
@tomwanderer It doesn't have to but WB want to keep the consistency between them to sell merch and the studio tour. They are changing some things, just not the general post-POA aesthetic.
@rothschildmd It won't bomb in season one. There's a huge audience of adult fans who want a closer adaptation, and name recognition carries it with normies.
The HBO Harry Potter show is a time capsule of our current culture. It's a remake of something from 25 years ago, almost identical, yet everything about it is worse. A desperate, derivative nostalgia play, with none of the heart, care or inspiration of the original.
Because they're both made by WB. They have to maintain a consistent brand so fans can go on the tour, buy merch, and not see any major differences in the product.
Alien of the Day:
The Gungans from Star Wars!
Despite being maligned due to writing and tonal issues in the films, the designs by Terryl Whitlatch I find very charming.
There's no worldbuilding in the sequels. The First Order is simultaneously too small to interest the New Republic, big enough to destroy the NR, controls the galaxy, but still needs Palpatine's fleet to succeed.
