BUT THE MOST ENCOURAGING PART IS FEMALE PARTICIPATION

Pakistan’s stock market is witnessing a noticeable shift in its investor demographics.

Nearly 25,000 new investor accounts were opened in August 2026, with the 18–30 age group alone contributing 13,231 accounts.

More importantly, almost 89% of all new accounts came from investors aged 18–45.

A younger generation is gradually entering Pakistan’s capital markets, which is a healthy sign for the long-term development of PSX.

But one number I find particularly encouraging is 3,701 new female investors joining the market in just one month.

Female participation in Pakistan’s capital market has traditionally remained low, so seeing more women entering equities and taking an interest in investing and wealth creation is a very positive development.

Still a long way to go, but the direction is encouraging.

More young investors. More women investors.

The real opportunity now is to turn this growing participation into informed, disciplined and long-term investing.

A younger investor base today can build a much deeper capital market tomorrow.
