Designers are not upset but irritated because you are not delivering what you are saying here. Iโm not sure what is happening behind the scenes, but the show on X is telling a different story.
Over the years, Iโve seen more and more people exploiting one important vulnerability that is particularly noticeable among designers: their struggle to be noticed and grow in their careers. It gets even more irritating when I see other designers doing the same exploitation to other designers by posting โI got invites to shareโ all over X just to get comments and likes.
About Dribbble: it wasnโt the invite-only system that made Dribbble a great design community, but designers supporting each other. As I remember it, one of the main goals of Dribbble was to post your work and get constructive feedback from other designers. On the contrary, the invite-only system ruined the design community.
Why? People begging for an invite all over Dribbble made the platform toxic. Also, the system of designers inviting other designers broke down after someone who had only one photo posted several times on his Dribbble profile somehow managed to get an invite and become part of the design community. That even went viral on other social media platforms, which turned Dribbble into a joke rather than something to be taken seriously.
I am building a small and fun game on @rive_app and
I am introducing to you with the flying boxes.
I am enjoying the interaction with them. It is so fun...
and yet so difficult to hit a green one!
