I need American veterans who worked with the YPJ/SDF in Syria. While there is much broader work going on regarding US-Kurdish relations, we are focusing on a few things for our YPJ partners against ISIS in the immediate term. Please contact me or give my contact to any who are willing to get involved in some fairly simple advocacy efforts, especially special operations, officers, and NCOs. It’s time for us to speak up for our friends, and ensure America continues to partner with them.

The American company AUG is preparing to begin implementing the “American City” project in the city of Qamişlo in the coming days, after completing the approvals and technical procedures

The “American City 1” project is a large real-estate development planned east of Qamişlo, covering an area of 310 dunums.

It includes 35 residential towers ranging from 10 to 33 floors and 350 villas (earlier announcements mentioned up to 800 villas in total). Educational facilities consist of an American kindergarten, school, and university. There will also be a hospital, a commercial mall or sector of about 40,000 square meters, a hotel, a media and arts tower, and various recreational components.

Around 70 percent of the site is designated for open and green spaces, including the planting of approximately 50,000 trees, seedlings, and roses. Infrastructure features include a sewage system with water treatment, central gas, 24-hour electricity (with significant reliance on solar power), filtered water, smart-home systems, and surveillance and security systems.

The project is expected to create more than 2,000 job opportunities, with the company aiming for about 80 percent local workforce. Residential units will be offered for sale with installment plans lasting from one to six years.
