Keeping everyone (including Africans) completely ignorant about Africa and the central role it plays in the economic and natural world is a core feature of Europeanised education, not a bug.
You're not supposed to know that the DRC is the most resource-rich country in the world, with an estimated $24 trillion sitting under its soil. You're not supposed to know that the rise of "western civilisation" from the 15th century on was entirely made possible by European contact with Africa, and that the resources and labour extracted from coastal West Africa from 1492 onwards are the entire reason why both American continents exist in their current form.
You're not supposed to know that both WW1 and WW2 were essentially wars fought over the right to African colonial domination and expansion, and that even the uranium that was used in "Little Boy" and "Fat Man" dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki came from Shinkolobwe uranium mine in eastern DRC. You're not supposed to know that the reason the country of France exists in its current form is because tens of thousands of conscripted West African soldiers fought and won against the Nazis in Europe, and the French thereafter shipped them back to West Africa and massacred them at Camp Thiaroye in Senegal to avoid paying them their due wages.
You're not supposed to know that there was nothing cold about the so-called Cold War, because the vast majority of the hot theaters it was physically fought in were on the continent of Africa. (Zimbabwe, DRC, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Angola, Eritrea, Zambia etc). You're not supposed to know that the ongoing Ukraine war and the war in the Sahel are in fact the same conflict being fought by the same 2 sides, and that the reason France is desperately pushing funding and arms to Ukraine even as it falls into internal crisis is that Ukraine is acting as its proxy army in West Africa, as it tries to regain its lost colonial territories there, especially Niger where the cheap yellowcake uranium for its famously cheap nuclear energy used to come from before the 2023 revolution.
You're definitely not supposed to know that the entire global economy and system of trade as you know it is built on ruthless extraction from Africa and ensuring that Africa does not control anything it exports. You're not supposed to know that "Italian leather" doesn't come from Italy - it comes from Kano, Nigeria. You're not supposed to know that "Swiss chocolate" does not exist because cocoa does not grow anywhere in Switzerland or Europe - it comes from Ghana, Cote d'Ivoire and Nigeria. You're not supposed to know that Israel and the UAE control the global diamond and gold markets even though Israel has no diamond mine and the UAE has zero gold mines, because both resources are literally being stolen from the DRC and Sudan on an industrial basis.
You're basically not supposed to understand that the entire geopolitical world as you know it, rests entirely on extraction from Africa, poverty of Africans, and your own ignorance about where everything you use comes from.
Completely deliberate 500+ year-old feature, not accidental bug.
N10 billion in lagos life made me realize the maths that:
N10 billion is N1 million… 10,000 times.
apparently, if you spend N1 million daily, it would take more than 27 years before you finish spending N10 billion.
That is what ₦10 billion means.
OUR POLITICIANS HATE US !!!
@lufthansa I made a tweet and you lot are responding to someone who quoted the tweet to solve the problem instead of the actual author of the tweet. If that doesn’t depict a lack of concern I don’t know what does.
A month later, I went online did the the request at least 20 more times incase they haven’t been receiving, sent a DM to their IG account, tried chatting with their BOT but wasn’t functional and called called customer service.
A month later I called customer service, this person was quite dismissive and when I wasn’t hanging up or taking any excuses she asked me to hold so she could see what she could do about it then got back a few minutes later and said she’d call back an hour later. That was it.
On the 23rd of July I cancelled a return flight from Portharcourt, Nigeria to London and requested a refund at the point of check in as I was unable to board.
This request was processed and was told to expect it within 7days.
14days later I called to follow up and was informed that there’s no particular timeline due to something about backlog. I decided to give it some time.
2 months later I called and was directed over the phone to request the refund online. Done and dusted.
Dear Lufthansa is 5months not enough time to process a refund? And what do you mean by “DIDNT MAKE THE BOOKING IN THE EUROPEAN MARKET” ?? Are those bookings from outside Europe treated differently??
As it’s my japa anniversary today, I will drop a few nuggets.
1)Stay in a shared house as much as possible and healthy. U will save on a whole lot of bills and orishirishi.
2) Try to cook and if possible take ur own meals to work everyday. You will save a lot on food, and most importantly eat healthy.
3) Avoid doing PCP car as a newbie, u will end up making money for the car and finance companies. Buy a small cheap but good car that u can buy off and pay for, make sure u see the full service history, how many MOTs it’s failed and why, and look at the advisory as well.
4) Each month you don’t save a huge chunk of your salary, you MUST be worried. Don’t work to pay bills, but work to pay bills and save good sums of money.
5) Get a credit card as soon as possible, get a phone contract as soon as u can, get on the voter’s register early, these will help you build your credit.
6) Get on the property ladder as soon as possible. You save a whole lot of money paying for mortgage than rent: firstly, mortgage is cheaper than rented house on the same estate and same quality. Also, you are saving money for the long term because after the interest is deducted, the rest of mortgage goes into ur equity.
I will stop here make I no give everything away. Lol
