@TimothyWestNews Hi Tim. How lucky you both are to be able to enjoy your 'cruises' along the canals. You both look so happy. I was the 'young' mum and son who you invited to join you for breakfast on the set of Oliver Twist. I remember your kindness on that day so long ago. God bless you both! x
@KathSansom@ptsafetylearn @EmmaHardyMP It is almost as if the NHS have ticked a box, but have done it with disappearing ink! These mesh centres are not fit for purpose! They MUST listen to the people who have been injured!!!
Timothy West is one of the nicest men I have ever met. It was while I was accompanying my young son on location whilst he was filming his small part in Oliver Twist (circa 80's). Much love to you and your lovely wife Prunella Scales.
@TimothyWestNews@exitthelemming I was lucky enough to meet Timothy West in the 80's. My young son was on location filming Oliver Twist. We stopped for a lunch break and Mr West was sitting at the opposite table. Timothy West kindly invited us to sit at his table. Such an interesting man who I will never forget
@AnnBoni1@RCObsGyn@BAUSurology@NHSEngland@SteveBarclay The blame for all the injuries from the mesh should firstly lie on the doorstep of the pharma' who promote them. I still don't believe that all of my mesh has been removed. Also, during the length of time that it was in my body, untold damage has occurred....
@AnnBoni1@RCObsGyn@BAUSurology@NHSEngland@SteveBarclay I am sincerely sorry that you still had remaining mesh left in your body. As I have already said, removal of every single strand of the mesh is not guaranteed. Miss Elneil probably thought that she had removed everything. These op's are 'unknown territory' for most surgeons....
@AnnBoni1@RCObsGyn@BAUSurology@NHSEngland@SteveBarclay I do understand that not every removal full or partial will be successful. I just think it is wrong to lay the blame on a surgeon who is working hard and doing his/her best to relieve some of the pain. It takes guts to venture into somewhat unknown territory!
@TimothyWestNews@exitthelemming Please pass on my warmest birthday wishes to your dad Timothy West. I was lucky enough to meet him while he was filming 'Oliver Twist' in the early 80's. My son was a child actor at the time. He played Mr Bumble and my son played 'Dick'. Such a gentleman!
@MediClit When I complained to the implanting surgeon about the cessation of my sexual function in 2007, his reply was as follows: "Well, he can still enter you, can't he"?
Are women just vessels to be used? I don't think so!
@maiasz My beloved late sister died last November of Ovarian Cancer. She was sent home from hospital and died 6 hours later, screaming in agony. No nurse, no drugs, just torturous trauma for her and us. Animals get better treatment!
Shame on the Government! Surely they can see history repeating itself. The scandal of Thalidomide was ignored and now Mesh, Sodium Valporate and Primados are going down the same route! Dangerous drugs and devices destroying human lives! All for profit!
Who in the Cabinet Office advised Nadine Dorries that there is already a financial redress system in place - which is why the government did not need to offer financial redress for women suffering #mesh complications? No such system exists. Unicorn theory ๐ฆ
@KenZeroHarm@sajidjavid@DHSCgovuk @BillCashMP @Jeremy_Hunt I completely agree with you #KenLownds. Far too many 'backhanders' going on and not only to the UK Healthcare professions! We have to obey the law when filling in our tax returns. That law applies to everyone, so why no Sunshine Payment Act?
If there is nothing to hide, why are the government delaying the Sunshine Payment Act? As patients, we are entitled to know how treatment is funded and by whom! Our trust is being shattered as well as our bodies!
A Sunshine Payment Act Is desperately needed for the UK so Industry is forced to declare money given to clinicians, teaching hospitals, research institutions, charities and patient groups @APPGFDNH https://t.co/tCfPDbMEPA
@MeshCampaign @EmmaHardyMP @SharonHodgsonMP This is nothing less than child abuse! They are possibly condemning children to lifelong illnesses. Please do not give permission for your children to undergo this type of surgery. They may never forgive you!
@MelisaWoodrow1 I am certain that you are correct. Why waste money setting up this review if they knew all along that they would do nothing to stop our misery? We are condemned to a life of pain. #mesh is giving us a slow and painful death. We are, in fact #thewalkingdead!
@MeshCampaign I would like to congratulate and commiserate with Baroness Cumberlege and team for their exhausting 2+ years of investigating the thousands of men and women affected by the use of Mesh. Disgusted at the response from the Government for all their hard work!
