This was really interesting in relation to our course because of how important nutrients are to survival, but without our knowing, our bodies may be reprogramming to support cancer cells.

Considering lipids are so important in cell membranes, it would make sense that EO-3 would play a role in that, but knowing it specifically is in RBC could be impactful. Also interesting flax oil does not have the same effect as a fat. #hunterbiochemistry

@desireefaria2 I saw that the other organism this can be found in is T. thermophilus and when I looked it up it is a bacteria that is used for genetic manipulation, but what I thought was interesting about it is that it is found in hot springs and thermal vents! Which is pretty unlike E. coli
Personally, I feel like people are more knowledgable about some of this biological processes in humans, but I found it really interesting that there were so many different factors that went into actually creating blood coagulation and this is just one of the many signals

@bsullivan1044@bmsnews I really like that they post their updates on drugs they're working on in regards to FDA filings, do you know about if and how readily available they are on the market? I feel like a lot of new drugs get approved, but don't get put to use as readily as they could be.

Most of the biochem I have learned previously is from my job and @Foliumbiosci is one of the companies we have worked with a lot in looking into terpenes and cannabinoids, extraction techniques, and the endocannabinoid system #hunterbiochemistry
I've come to realize I love chemistry and I love understanding the real world application of things, so biochem I think is really going to put that all together for me #hunterbiochemistry
