@Lynn_Nothegger Not a worry at all. I hope your travels back to Scotland go well, and that you get to see some Northern Lights. We got to see them in Devon a few weeks back. Not great pics compared to some, but still special.
@Lynn_Nothegger I'll stop bombarding you in a mo (I'm waiting for a cake to finish baking so perusing for pyjamas is keeping me occupied). These look nice... https://t.co/o58WbRCTwy
@ExeterCathedral Many thanks for your quick response. There is a possibility they will be available the following Saturday (23rd), but we know there is a DPO concert on. Does that mean Evensong is unlikely to take place?
@ExeterCathedral good evening. We have a relative who's touring UK cathedrals for Evensong. For Exeter, the only time they can do is the 16 November, but from your services page it looks like Evensong isn't programmed that day. Are you able to advise?
@lauralexx We really enjoyed En Clair. It's a series about forensic linguistics, super knowledgeable presenter & great topics. Two series available. For those who prefer it, they made episodes available without background music as well as the standard ones https://t.co/Ob43OVBWgg
@TheTiercel thank you for the excellent talk tonight. A good reminder we need to tear ourselves away from our desks and get outside into the glorious East Devon a bit more!
@cowphilosopher Not tried on the back of a bike but I've used a Locknlock carrier for years https://t.co/fOR5YUOSir. Also wanted to recommend Jimbobart cake tins (not for bike) but it looks like they're sold out ...boo... Lots of other fab cycling related products though https://t.co/RVv7CfD6xq
@kiripritchardmc It was such a great evening, thank you. I'd had a bit of a challenging day, so weeping with laughter was the perfect antidote. I hadn't noted the pens request in advance - does the charity have an Amazon donation list or similar?
@marcusbrig @rachelparris I've definitely heard the same about Irish tea. Pretty sure I've seen a history thread on it from @garius . I'm not having luck finding it, but in the meantime you might like this one about UK tea in WW2 https://t.co/q31hWL8JQ7
Oh, and given this thread has ALREADY sheered down a massive tangent, I should point out that the closest amalgam I can think of to booze as a potential trigger for a shift in public opinion on government competence is...
Tea in WW2.
@Pingosaurus We're really lucky to have them living close by. Though it can be a bit stressful, they often breed late or get sick. We've done many a rescue & happy return. We don't rehab ourselves though. One overnight in our utility in a box is enough. Eau de (sick) hog is not great!
@Pingosaurus None from tonight, they came out a bit too late. But when we got home from holiday last weekend, we spotted our first mini hog for 2024. It got a fright when I put food out, but it does uncurl! There are at least 3 this big (large orange size), plus adults. π¦
@Pingosaurus Really good to know it's comfy and that it got compliments too. Stipulations for black tie, even optional, always make me really uncomfortable (many reasons!) so would be keen to find something a bit different like this. Thank you!
@Pingosaurus I do feel I'll be saying congratulations again very soon....
That tweet should also have had a question mark after jumpsuit. Too focused on watching hedgehogs in garden while listening to the cricket. It is one kind of excuse!
@alrightPET @RevRichardColes Heartily recommend @Brays_Cottage pork pies if you're after fab tasting ones without jelly. Their small ones are delicious, celebration ones are a thing of beauty (& I prefer the meat to pastry ratio of the big ones). This was one we commissioned for a friend's new arrival.
