The Israeli military shot 10-year-old Motaz Marwan Abu Shaar in the heart in Gaza today, killing him, his family told Drop Site.

Motaz’s aunt, Nawal Abu Shaar, said he was playing inside the family’s tent when he was struck. His father, brother, and grandmother had previously been killed while displaced in the Miraj area, forcing the surviving family members to flee in search of safety.

“There is no safe place,” his uncle, Faraj Abu Shaar, said. “There are no safe tents, no safe zones, and no humanitarian zones.”

“Does he not have the right to live?” Nawal asked. “Does he not have the right to play, learn, grow up, and become an adult?”

🚨 NEW: Ten Palestinians, including the police chief of the Jabalia refugee camp and several officers, were killed Tuesday in Israeli strikes across the Gaza Strip.

Attacks reported by Palestinian media on Tuesday:

🔹 7 people killed and others wounded when Israeli aircraft struck a police post at the Khan market in the Faluja area of Jabalia refugee camp, in northern Gaza.

Gaza's Interior Ministry said the dead included Col. Mohammed Marwan Salem, the head of the Jabalia refugee camp police station, along with several officers.

🔹 Hossam Mohammed Ramadan al-Shafei, 36, was killed and three others wounded, including a child and a woman, in an Israeli strike on the Qadisiya camp in the Mawasi area of Khan Younis, in southern Gaza.

🔹 A child, Moataz Abu Shaar, was killed by Israeli gunfire in the Mawasi area of Rafah, in the south.

🔹 Bassem Musaad Irmeilat died of wounds sustained two days earlier in an Israeli strike on the Qadisiya camp, west of Khan Younis.

Israeli quadcopter drones also opened fire toward homes and displacement tents near the Mahatta mosque in the Tuffah neighborhood of northeastern Gaza City, while forces carried out two demolitions in southern Khan Younis and shelled western Rafah, according to Felesteen Online’s sources.
