@JamieCombs Love this.
I have been experimenting with a micro version of this in one breath. Bring awareness to each layer. It's easier to go slower at first.

@ryanboothops In many BigCorps, the feedback loop is way too long on the metrics of choice.
Quarterly?
Build on that context to a scoreboard that can be affected TODAY.
ie what are the leading indicators to a good NPS?
Just love this from @Liber_Rex

Is this the future of public service?
Old model:
Talent drawn to government work for a steady paycheck and predictable routines.
New model:
Elite people who’ve already succeeded and now seek meaningful challenges to solve complex public issues, driven by a desire to give back.
@LukeWeinhagen So many teams in BigCorpsTM trying to implement automation type solutions (tool) without updating complementary parts.
Everyone’s confused why it accelerates confusion and chaos instead of results.
I wasn't ready for this...
"Hey Chat, based on everything you know about me, tap into Jung's soul to uncover my shadow."
Uncanny. 😅
I love the framing here for the shadow as:
- Future clients' needs
- Struggles as curriculum
I guide entrepreneurs for a living.
But my deepest insights didn't come from business books.
They came from Carl Jung's work on the human psyche.
Here are 8 powerful ways his teachings can transform your business and clients: 🧵
Dang, never made that connection.
Baked into "4-hour Workweek" is the assumption that we want less work.
But what we're aiming for isn't:
LESS of the 'BAD' Thing.
What we're aiming for is:
MORE of a GOOD thing.
Onwards to:
LESS meaningless work &
MORE meaningful work.
In the wake of the resounding Trump victory, we are rethinking innumerable previous conclusions.
Chief among them is entrepreneurship, specifically the promises of digitally enabled self-employment.
Recall in 2007 Tim Ferriss showed the way to a "4-hour workweek." Gen X and older millennial discontents in Corporate America, seeing that unless you are a member of a special privileged class, are at a distinct disadvantage, and noticing the HR-ification of promotion and business excellence, and furthermore experiencing the discrimination that only results from being a Tall Poppy, wanted to check out of the system. Welcome to my TED Talk (no really, that's what it was about).
The result was every digital native and his cousin starting some kind of internet business. The trend accelerated and crested into 2021 and 2022.
But there is a reason so many of the early internet marketing gurus have rebranded into personal development and spirituality experts. They lived the "fire" — financially independent, retired early. It was smoke and ash, not lasting warmth.
Top performers who were otherwise needed in our society at large and in specific industries in which they are qualified had opted out of lasting contribution due to yassified schoolmarmary. We left the long house to become lost boys. Many of us coasted on hedonism and number-go-up fads to get our riches, even richer. Slow soul suicide, that way is.
But Trump II changes everything. It is OK to be great in public again. Musk, Vance, Sachs, Ravikant, Ackman, and other operators are setting the example for unified civics and business. Meaningful work at the organizational level is going to be legal again. That is not a joke nor hyperbole.
Expect a return of the "fire'd" generation into "day jobs" and "salaried work" — because they are wanted again, and also needed. And more importantly, will be appreciated and compensated appropriately.
The lost boys will become known men. Because we didn't find ourselves "making money online." We did find each other. And now, we need to bring each other back to work that matters.
I may be one of these men. You might, too.
We don't want a 4-hour workweek. We want a 14-hour workday — on work that makes a difference. Perhaps not every day, but many days. Laptop lifestyles don't put men on Mars or Freedom Cities on formerly federal land.
So here's to the new epoch of American history — because whatever it will be, is whatever we'll build, together.
Let's get started.
Your brain filters reality based on two things:
Goals
Fears
Being intentional about your aims enables your brain to 'see' the synchronic steps to your destination.
& for the hyper-rational folk out there <3, this also makes sense: if you are *looking* for all the ways the world is against you (victimhood ideology), you won’t look for/notice opportunities to make what you want happen. you’ll be more passive—and even paranoid at the extremes.
