"Weird FF7 Drama"
There is nothing weird with a majority of the fans of the original game not liking this censored modern audience of the game Max. What's "weird" is pretending that the game is 95% the same as the original.
I respect Maximillian, but these Remakes are also the highest-budgeted and most marketed JRPGs in history, and yet they have completely failed to expand the Final Fantasy fanbase, which is, in fact, shrinking, as the majority don't hate these.
They simply don't care for them.
A reminder that the 1994 live-action Flintstones movie literally built a massive, full scale Bedrock city out of real stone and fiberglass in a desert quarry instead of using CGI.
