Darth Bane was the pinnacle of a weak era. He established the Rule of Two in part to incentivise power growth by making the fight for the title of Dark Lord of a Sith a 1v1.
His plan succeeded per OOC quotes, so that's 1000 years of Sith surpassing Bane. Then other chains apply.

Palpatine is in a class of his own which includes basically no mortal other than Luke afaik (and Vitiate if you don't count SE).
Then we have the others with Kun probably at the bottom.
And then, below the bottom, Bane gets buried by scaling chains because he was successful.

@memeslich It's one of the most interesting expressions of skill in a system. In 5e, this mainly means having a party comp of exclusively armor-dipped casters.

@epicdndmemes 5e martials are just a total joke. Not good defensively, not good offensively, and in a system with lock-and-key encounter design they just barely have any keys.

@ChubbyFunsterGC You are tasked with traveling across the multiverse on a railroad to collect pieces of a macguffin so the book can show you all the cool places in DnD lore.
Except the premise is nonsense, the villains are absent and/or idiots and the writers didn't even do basic research.

WM6 is a stronger feature than the entire barbarian class because it gives your casters a few more spell slots.

@HMBohemond Galactic Empire (EU) has an advantage because of mobility and ease of manufacturing new ISDs afaik.

Other than that, I could see D&D's Netheril being stronger if Karsus can use his Avatar spell on the Dark Gods.
