They say "The joy of the task is its reward" but I must admit it is nice to see the book in its print version. This book is a must for anyone preparing for #CCeEXAM#NBE#POCUS boards. Congrats to Editorial team @RSreedharan81 Dr. Sandeep Khanna, Ajit Moghekar and Patrick Collier
@EMedCurious@HeyDrNik@R_Tambelli Am I looking at this wrong, or is that a lung in there? It looks like a consolidated lung with pulmonary vasculature in it?
@NephroP@IM_Crit_@khaycock2@ArgaizR Very interesting! Have seen these vessels within consolidated/atelectatic lung but never thought about hemodynamic significance of the Doppler waveforms. Interested to think/hear more about this… 🤔
I do think that seeing these vessels provides visualization of v/q mismatch
@katiewiskar Also i wonder about this cirrhosis and PH, ie does pt have portopulmonary HTN (with cirrhosis being primary cause) or does pt have other cause of primary PH which led to cirrhosis from congestion? Interesting in that the prognosis and treatment goals would be different
@katiewiskar In cases like this I wonder about the role of PLR to assess for “reverse volume responsiveness”. Ie LVOT VTI drops with PLR because of ventricular interdependence, reverse bernheim etc… then supporting the idea that CO would benefit from diuresis

@teachplaygrub Thanks for the fantastic 🧵 ! question on /3
In a noncon ct chest or abdomen, blood doesn’t appear bright. What is it about the brain CT (windowing, etc) that makes it different so that blood is bright? And why don’t the blood vessels in the brain themselves appear bright?
#POCUS sans frontières spécialisées !!
Its a pleasure and honor to participate. Thanks for the invite @siddharth_dugar@FoxStevenW 🙏
@msiuba, TBH it was a little intimidating to present in front of your crème de la crème group.
