This week’s delay is the latest in a long series of procedural obstacles that have kept Yahaya behind bars for over six years without resolution. The cancellation is particularly troubling, stalling progress from September 2025's hearing. @ADFIntl https://t.co/TIoVzEtJHx
"It is extremely disappointing that Yahaya’s case, which holds potential to establish new protections for religious freedom, has been delayed yet again. Now, we will continue to advocate for the overturning of the death penalty blasphemy law, for justice for Yahaya and for his release, and for the Court to promptly reschedule the hearing. Yahaya Sharif-Aminu has waited for justice long enough.” @FelaLives
🚨BREAKING: Nigerian Supreme Court abruptly CANCELS hearing in Yahaya Sharif-Aminu's challenge to death penalty blasphemy laws.
The delay is outrageous! He's been in prison >6 years!
How much longer must Yahaya wait for justice? When will this law be ended? @ADFLegal@ADFIntl
🚨 BREAKING: Justice delayed AGAIN in Nigeria.
Yahaya Sharif-Aminu, a young Sufi musician, has spent 6+ years in prison facing a potential death penalty for writing "blasphemous" song lyrics.
After years of waiting for justice, the Supreme Court of Nigeria has now indefinitely delayed a hearing for his case.
This is an egregious violation of Yahaya's freedom of religion and expression.
No one should face prison or a death penalty for peacefully expressing their beliefs.
It is time for Nigeria to release Yahaya.

“Every delay in Yahaya’s case is another day he must spend behind bars, for nothing more than peacefully expressing his faith in song lyrics. Every delay is another day that one of the most dangerous blasphemy laws in the world sits on the books and is being enforced.
Yahaya has sat in a prison cell for over six years. How much longer must he wait? The Court should not stall any longer in hearing his case and upholding his right to religious freedom."

More Christians are killed for their faith in Nigeria than anywhere else in the world.
Nigerian officials have, unfortunately, been complicit in facilitating these atrocities.

We get very lukewarm feedback with regard to the victim, and pushback from the government for people not to speak truth to power. This is beyond politics, and every well-meaning Nigerian should show seriousness; otherwise, we will soon not have a country.

Bandits Will Soon Be in the Senate and House of Reps Because Nigerians Are Paying Them Tax in the North – Yusuf
They are daring the state and taunting us, killing our soldiers, wearing the military uniform, and going for mediation with the government, then going home without consequences. They send notices to the government, come on the day of the notice, and still execute; they are overrunning brigades and killing generals because we are not doing the needful.

His father lived with Fulanis, even raised their children and sent some to school. But Fulani militias from outside Nigeria have teamed with the same ones the Christians accommodated and took care of in Plateau, to kill their hosts and take over their ancestral homelands. THE STORY IS THE SAME FROM PLATEAU, TO KADUNA, TO BENUE TO TARABA TO ADAMAWA, AND BEYOND.
And when they're done killing, the Nigerian government integrates them into the society as "repentant terrorists." Automatic Nigerian citizenship. No case to answer. No consequence for their actions. No worries at all!
The fact these captured terrorists are taken care of by the government while millions of their displaced victims continue to suffer from ongoing denial is pure evil of the highest magnitude.
No terrorist, "repentant" or otherwise, should be given even air to breathe while their victims still languish and die of neglect.
This alone proves government impunity and complicity more than anything else they can say or do.
Intentional denial of recognition and aid to displaced in this scenario is legally prosecutable as GENOCIDE under international law, and Tinubu + his administration stand GUILTY.

The Christians of Nigeria need help and their own government is denying the mass genocide happening right now. They’re calling for your help.

Alex Barbir clearly educated Tinubu’s TVC reporters. Since they claimed they didn’t know what’s happening in Nigeria, a foreigner educated them. Shame!
