@Pricey75777292@MumsnetTowers@Pricey75777292, I have heard from many mothers who would have preferred to share their leave with their partners, but were unable to. If we want the gender pay gap to fall, we need to support mothers to return to work.
@RachelRachrad@MumsnetTowers Once it is viable for mothers to express milk at work, this will substantially decrease physical differences between parents.
@RachelRachrad@MumsnetTowers Currently, in some workplaces it is difficult for mothers to safely express and store milk, but policy can change that. The government’s current recommendations on provision of facilities to support expressing milk at work should be legal requirements (at least for large firms).
