The official confirmation from @JohnsHopkinsSPH, passed by a vote of the Examining Committee.
I have read many important letters in my life.
Admission letters.
Rejection letters.
A scholarship letter that changed what was possible.
Job offer letters.
This one took almost 4 years to earn and thirty seconds to read.
A few steps remain before the degree is formally conferred: the quiet administrative closing of a loud chapter.
But the letter is already on the wall of my mind.
Thank you to everyone who joined in the celebration
โฅ๏ธ๐๐ฝ Thatโs our hero. Forever in our hearts. By now, you would be in your 6th year of Civil Engineering at the University of Nairobi. Our good and loving Lord had other plans for you.
We love you, we miss you, and we will carry you in our hearts forever. Till we meet again, our son. Our Prayers.
Happy 26th Birthday, our beloved Son. โค๏ธ๐๏ธ. This morning, our hearts cry as we mark your 26th birthday. We love you deeply and miss you every single day. Though you are no longer with us, you remain forever in our hearts. May the Good Lord protect you, bless you and keep you in His eternal embrace.
We love you. We miss you. We will never forget you. โค๏ธ Toto
Kenyans unapologetically enjoying the shinny things delivered by Ruto, same shinny things that Sifuna warned them not to celebrate.
Tutam is unstoppable
Thank you, Bw. CS @davis_chirchir, for the remarkable contribution. It's a lasting investment in the future of community and a truly life-changing contribution to the generations to come. Asante.
"Ukimwangalia Rais Ruto moja kwa moja ana roho nzuri, ana upendo. Sisi watanzania tunawapenda sana wakenya, hatuna malalamiko nao. Nakuletea salamu kutoka kwa mume wangu, tunaomba ukasalimie Rachel Ruto tunampenda tunamtamani sana. Tumesikitika leo hukuja nae!"~Tanzanian MP
@InsecurityKE They never build Stadiums with sports in mind. It's just to award contracts to their friends and for political gains. That's why Masinde Muliro Stadium was closed immediately, Ile stadium ya Kitui was closed down immediately. Sasa hii nayo ni tarmac
The late John Garang as Headmaster of Gatungaโngโa Senior Secondary School in Nyeri 1965.
Garang first arrived in Kenya in 1963, but was locked up at Kamiti Maximum Prison. While there he met KANU politician cum trade unionist, Arthur Ochwada, who was also serving his prison term for embezzlement of KANU funds.
Ochwada, however, blamed Mboya for orchestrating his predicaments after they disagreed.
Nevertheless Garang narrated his situation to Ochwada, who fortunately enough was about to be released. Upon his release, Ochwada highlighted Garang's plight to Minister for Home Affairs Jaramogi Oginga Odinga, who ordered the release of Garang.
He left for Uganda where he remained as a refugee , before making his way back to Kenya to work as a teacher after the country became a republic.
From Kenya he went to the USA for further studies then back to Sudan to work in the military.

Kenya Ports Authority MD Capt. William Ruto, the Port of Mombasa is undergoing major modernizationโexpanded infrastructure, improved efficiency, and increased cargo capacity strengthening Kenyaโs role as East Africaโs leading maritime gateway.
@ISA_RC21@raulpacheco Is it open to applicants who wish to attend primarily for learning and research experience? Is yes, procedures for this category?
The war between Alhaji Aliko Dangote and Farouk Ahmed, the Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority leading to the resignation of Mr. Farouk should alarm every corrupt employee of the government of Kenya. Dangote took on Farouk and showed the world that despite his measly salary, Farouk's children were schooling in elite schools in Switzerland at a cost of US$6 Million (reminds me of a Kenyan judge who took his kids to St Andrews Turi in Molo and subsequently to elite Universities in UK on a monthly salary of Kshs 400,000). Of course, as rightly alleged by Al Haji Dangote, Farouk's children were educated through proceeds of crime. After Farouk failed to rebut Al Haji Dangote's truthful and honest assertions, he was fired by the President of Nigeria. What a lesson for corrupt government employees throughout Africa, and for Kenyans. I HEREBY PUT ON NOTICE to all employees of the government of Kenya INCLUDING JURISPESA JUDGES that a day will come when you will be exposed the way Al Haji Dangote exposed Farouk Ahmed and your properties and money taken away. Your children will be exposed like Farouk's children and subjected to ridicule and odium. It will come, InshaAllah! The days of stealing from goverments and living large is coming to an end in Africa. Let us be ready to reclaim stolen public money.

I had the profound honour and privilege of representing H.E. Dr. William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya and Chairperson of the EAC Heads of State Summit, during the official inauguration of Lake Victoria Basin Commission Headquarters in Kisumu City.
The establishment and growth of the Lake Victoria Basin Commission, one of the nine specialized institutions of the East African Community, demonstrates a collective resolve to protect a shared Lake Victoria ecosystem through joint efforts to protect biodiversity and natural habitats.
This modern headquarters, a symbol of a stronger, more integrated, and more prosperous East Africa, will serve as a centre of excellence for environmental stewardship, research, innovation, and policy leadership in the Basin.
The construction of the ultra-modern Maritime Regional Coordination Centre in Ilemela, Mwanza, is now complete and ready for commissioning. The Centre is fully equipped with advanced marine communication systems and will significantly strengthen safety, coordination, and emergency response across the lake.
And in Kisumu, the construction of the Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre is progressing well.
On behalf of H.E President Dr. William Ruto, my gratitude goes to all the EAC Partner States, the EAC Secretariat, under the leadership of H.E. Veronica Nduva, Executive Secretary, Dr. Masinde Bwire, and his team at LVBC, Ministry of Public Works, County Government of Kisumu and all the development partners for working together in delivering this magnificent facility.
EAC Deputy Secretary General Hon. Andrea Aguer Ariik Malueth, Kisumu Deputy Governor Dr. Mathew Ochieng Owili, County Commissioner Benson Leparmorijo, Kisumu Town East MP Hon. Shakeel Shabbir Ahmed and Heads of EAC Institutions were present among other dignitaries.
Congratulations, Mabior Garang de Mabior. Do us well. We trust, you can. Remain steadfast against temptations toward wrongdoing. A visit to Kakuma would be a powerful symbol of the struggle for liberation @TaoOfGarang@siinchol
Congratulations Capt. Mabior Garang de Mabior @TaoOfGarang for making it back to the cabinet on a more befitting ticket of the party your father and our hero Dr. John Garang founded. The tomato revolution is now paused for a national duty of taking care of our environment and forestry.
My appeal to you is to make sure the Environmental Bill is finally tabled at the National Assembly and passed into law. That is the only tool you will have to fight for the oil pollution and other environmental issues.
