He paid personally, then received the exact amount back from the campaign. But #Txlege House Rule 5 bars campaign funds from paying quorum-breaking fines.

In his report he states “Reimbursement for officeholder expense” in his @TX_Ethics F1 filing.

Another @TexasDemocrats House member, Rep. @HubertVo149, is two-stepping the rules!

He paid personally, then received the exact amount back from the campaign. But #Txlege House Rule 5 bars campaign funds from paying quorum-breaking fines.

In his report he states “Dues and Late Fees.” Late fees? Dues?

However, Vo listed the same expenditure TWICE in his @TX_Ethics F1 filing, a major TEC violation, also stating “Reimbursement”.

In 2001 George W Bush proposed a partial privatization plan for Social Security so you could put 10% of your SS contribution into the markets.

People rejected this.

We can now see that if it had passed, the 10% that went into the markets would have outperformed the 90% the government managed, the program would be solvent, and the average SS recipient would be receiving 2X what they currently receive.

The worst bet you’ll ever make is betting on government.
