Powell made it political the moment he claimed the probe exists because he will not cut rates.

Ask why he would say that.

If this were nothing, you stay quiet and let process work. You do not pre frame yourself as a victim of retaliation unless you are trying to shape perception before facts surface.

You do not get subpoenas without something concrete. Criminal probes move on documents and testimony people not just vibes.

They see something concrete and they are about to strike. He was probably offered a way out and didn’t take it. He’s a political hack.

If Powell is cleared, that statement ages badly. If he is not, it explains exactly why he went political immediately.

Reactions always tell you more than the actual headline.
