Differing rates are also driven by differences between T pop and general pop (beyond a trans ID) including:

age (T pop tends to be younger, which is higher risk)
up to a third autistic (ppl w/ autism experience higher rates of violence)
high rates of mental health co-morbidities (some mental health diagnoses are very high risk for assault)

The problem with NHJ’s “just tutor” approach is this - it is deeply unfair to expect a young child to sit through school and then essentially do a second shift of private/homeschooling on top of that. It’s a recipe to make them hate learning, stops them from doing other important things (imaginative play, time outside, time with friends) and degrades “family time”. Some extra help on particular challenges for a short time is one thing, but you can’t fix awful day to day instruction for years by tutoring.

Also, any extra curriculars need to be very closely considered for value against the impact on time with family. We did lots of extra curricular stuff starting quite young, and I regret it now.

Did you misread?

Trans erases GNC. Because it assumes that one is either trans or “cis”. But there are plenty of people who are not trans (no GD, acknowledge their sex) but don’t identify in whole or in part with the particular stereotypes / roles that oppressive and regressive gender associates with regard their sex.
