BREAKING: The UAE has released several billion dollars of Iran's frozen assets held in UAE banks, including 2 tonnes of gold worth $283 million, with the goal being that Iran spares the UAE from future attacks, according to multiple senior sources in Tehran with knowledge of the transfers.

The assets were flown to Iran aboard a Boeing 737-7KK (A6-RJA) operated by UAE Royal Jet, from Abu Dhabi to Tehran's Mehrabad Airport and Karaj's Payam Airport on August 11 and 12, each staying one hour before returning.

On June 8 the same plane flew from Abu Dhabi to Tehran's Mehrabad transferring $3 billion, multiple Iranian officials told Reuters in June.

Yup - I remember that segment well. I thought that if someone with Montagnier's stature was clear that the virus was manmade, then the media and scientific community would begin to take the idea seriously and investigate. NOPE. Just slander and attack. It was one of several incidents that made it obvious (to the small minority who were actually concerned with the facts) that a much bigger agenda was afoot.

That didn’t stop certain members of the MIC to suggest it against the Soviet Union during the Cold War. Apparently the argument can’t be totally discarded, and warmongers don’t want to give up trying to convince the rest of us that somehow a nuclear war is winnable and could be a good risk to take. Very hard to imagine that Montagnier could have gotten that wrong - he knew viruses inside and out, he was quite clear that he saw the evidence of man-made virus. I do believe quite a few other brave virologists confirmed they saw the HIV inserts, but that sort of truth was too much to be allowed into the public sphere. Would be nice to see @Kevin_McKernan, @thedarkhorsepod, and the other truth-tellers pick this back up and verify Montagnier's claims now that there's a bit more room in the public sphere for these sorts of truths to be resurfaced.

Cushing is just one storage depot of many - stocks can be transferred to it if needed. If WTI price is low, then it can get close to operational minimum but clearly it's still operating - bit of just a miseadling scare to say there's a big problem. As soon as Cushing starts pushing it's price over the export price, Cushing tanks will fill up quickly.

Do you not understand the concept of major market manipulation? Selling 10,000 CL contracts is more than enough to move the market several per cent. That's roughly $800 mln notional - but margin let's you leverage about 10:1. So for about $100 mln committed, you can move the market several percent. If you are the Secretary of the Treasury with authority from the President, imagine what you can do. Understand it now?

Yup - this is what matters, plus the reserves of other countries (IEA members) - and seems DOE believes it could draw down to around 70 mln barrels before tank bottom - IEA says it will still have 1 bln barrels of reserves after the 400 mln barrels are used that were announced in April and have used 290 mln so far - which could mean that Trump could drag out this dueling blockade for many months - some have suggested oil might be running low on August but those numbers made me reconsider - dueling blockades might be the most likely path at this point and drag on longer than many expected - we shall see.

When Luc Montagnier. who had won the Nobel Prize for discovering the HIV virus, went on TV and said he could clearly see signs that the COVID virus had been manmade, and he could tell there had been parts of the HIV virus inserted into it. Then he was treated as if he had no idea what he was talking about - I mean the guy was a Nobel prize winning virologist, at least be willing to consider the possibility! That was mid-April 2020. Plenty of other examples around that time that showed that the truth was not considered relevant.

If the US tried to "finish the job" and Iran struck back by destroying all of the oil production facilities in the GCC, thereby knocking out roughly 25% of global oil production for years, would you even care? Would the assured global depression, bringing enormous hardship to billions, even be worth a comment from you? Yes it has always been relevant and obvious to all paying attention to Iran since before the war started. Iran didn’t just “learn” that they could leverage strategic strikes during the war- they strategically planned on it and announced their plans to anyone paying attention - as a reporter you may want to check that out. And it would be interesting for reporters to ask Trump and his admin what their plan would be if Iran effectively retaliates in that fashion - wouldn’t that be nice to hear the admin’s thoughts on this?
