@BipedalBastard Yes. It’s gonna fuck a lot of creative people up psychologically. A huge part of what inspired me to keep learning was seeing what other ppl are capable of. The second you throw “everything I see could be fake” into the mix, it can crush all of that enthusiasm away.
@rocksound@SumerianRecords I hadn't listened to VOM since the late 00s and I recently dove back in and I'm glad I did! Their new style is KILLING IT. 🤘🏼🔥
@downrightdpad It kind of feels like a celebration of the spirit of crossover. Both KH and Smash are (I think?) two of the most popular crossover series ever, idk how else I can put it but it's like game recognizing game, in a sentimental way.
@thekhuwayne@GiftedMoney@WrestlingInc Super valid take. What really sucks is that instead of just tossing out her gimmick that's not working after refusing to change it for months, they could try to improve it and re-write it because it has tons of potential, but we already know that's too much effort. :(
@SamuelBrealey @AdamSinger Can confirm that making fan-content did more for me wrt discovery than any networking ever did. The only problem then becomes that most of your fanbase is prone to not being interested in your original works or any other content that's not what they followed you for.
@PatStaresAt Broke: Using psychology to improve your game's writing and your player's emotional connections to your characters
Woke: Using psychology to squeeze any scraps of money possible out of any player who isn't frugal enough to nail their wallet to the floor and resist all urges
@teikouarc (I hope this isn't creepy that I'm replying lol I was just poking thru the otasune search) Hello, I'm that fics author, thank you for being invested and patient! 💜 Life is kicking my ass rn so please wait just a few weeks longer. :)!
@Missinginfire Mia for a second I thought that first one was a picture of an mgs4 novel shirt, like the novel cover printed on a shirt. And I didnt even bat an eye, I was like "yeah she would totally buy that wouldnt she" 😂😅
@agoodmintality Right. I guess I what I really mean is, you can't know for sure whether something is "the only tenant of ones personality" even if it seems really obvious to you bc of the nature of online vs offline stuff. Sorry to be so buzzkill-y lmao and thanks for listening 👍
@agoodmintality I think thats more just finding certain behavior irritating and less fandom-unique. A lot of older women fandom or not like being grumpy about young people and this is just that behavior coming out lol.
@agoodmintality People have lives outside the internet that you don't see. You only see whats online, and thinking that past a certain age they are automatically having unhealthy behavior for being super engaged in fandom is kind of... assuming a lot. Not sayin there arent unhealthy people ofc.
@agoodmintality The thing is that you can't assume this abt people at first glance. Even if you see a LOT of fandom activity from an older person, you can't know whether they still spend time at a job and time doing other stuff and still are able to bury themselves in fandom to relax and unwind.
