We’re keeping an eye on the redevelopment of the Rail District with our #FriscoFlyover. The parking garage is nearly complete with crews striping the parking spots on the inside and the 4th Street Plaza is starting to take shape. Plus crews are wrapping up the decorative elements along Main Street.

Thank God this jury saw through the mountain of irrelevancies offered up by the defense in an attempt to spare him the consequence he so richly deserves. Failure would have been a stain on Texas and a denial of justice to Athena and everyone who loved her.

Texans are about to get hit with higher electricity bills—and your own government is letting it happen.
The PUCT is fast-tracking rules to force unproven battery costs onto your bill (§25.58) and expand eminent domain to push transmission lines across your land (§25.101). That’s higher costs, weaker property rights, and less say for you.
Governor Abbott and the Legislature should be stopping this. Instead, they’re silent while unelected regulators move against the people.
That’s not leadership. That’s failure.
Texans deserve reliable power, lower costs, and strong property rights—not backdoor deals and rubber stamps.
Speak up before May 18. Make them hear you.

4/25 9AM: A potentially dangerous evening is developing across Northeast Texas, areas hit hard last night. The risk of intense severe storms will increase after 5-7PM as storms move southeast out of Oklahoma. All modes of severe weather are possible, including tornadoes, giant hail up to softball size, and wind gusts over 75 MPH. More isolated but still severe storms are possible in D/FW south into the eastern Hill Country late this afternoon and evening, with a risk of very large hail. Most folks will not see storms today, but the storms we do have will be severe, with a particular focus on intense storms moving out of Oklahoma into Northeast Texas tonight. Stay weather aware, and we will have live coverage again this evening.
The latest #FriscoFlyover shows the concrete pads for the north and south ‘living rooms’ have been poured, progress is being made in the 4th Street Plaza and crews are putting the finishing touches on Main Street.

Securing Collin County Streets
In response to recent reports of protests planned for McKinney and Frisco on Saturday, June 14, the Collin County North Texas Fusion Center is in full operation and continues to monitor the developing situation.
While event organizers advertise the event as a nonviolent demonstration, recent rioting and violence in other large U.S. cities requires law enforcement officials to be prepared for all circumstances. The Collin County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) has been coordinating with local law enforcement entities and all necessary contingency plans are in place. Additionally, the CCSO and the Fusion Center will be evaluating and adjusting plans in real time as necessary.
"I support and defend the right of all citizens to gather and demonstrate peacefully," said Collin County Judge Chris Hill, "but we will have zero tolerance for violence against others, destruction of property, or other unlawful acts in Collin County. If bad actors break the law in our community, we will be ready and will respond appropriately."
Final voting results for the June 7, 2025 Special Runoff Election for City Council Places 2 and 4.

What a great sales pitch, but lousy reporting. Only 2 sentences on why a rate increase was being imposed. Nothing on inflation, how real estate developers are benefiting or whether roads are ever paid off anymore. How much more will your monthly bill go up?
TEXAS HOUSE: If the GOP actually controlled the House they'd be working on eliminating mail-in voting as Jimmy Carter recommended instead of simply honoring him.
