Our new manuscript “Long-term imaging reveals behavioral plasticity during C. elegans dauer exit” with @preibischs is on #bioRxiv. We performed a comparative analysis of behavioral plasticity & gene expression using an exciting new worm imaging tool

I recently started EVOBYTE Digital Biology, which aims at enabling research teams to better manage, analyze and store their data.

Just saw this now: What a beautiful paper, stellar lightsheet data, really the best fluorescent images of large cleared brains I have seen! And bonus: A heatmap to indicate author contributions! Awesome idea!
How do you image the large and the small at the same time? We developed new 🔬 technology to image centimeter-scale specimens - including whole mouse brains 🧠 - with diffraction-limited resolution and without sectioning. #mesoscale#imaging

Methods for imaging-based #spatialtranscriptomics (iST) incl. MERFISH, MolecularCartography, Xenium… are promising techs, but it feels like there is no discussion about their limitations and QC metrics. As this has been bothering me for quite some time now, I´d like to start👇
Cells live and interact in 3D tissues but pathology and spatial omics typically rely on 2D sections...
Excited to share our latest efforts in @N_Rajewsky lab to generate a 3D, multimodal atlas of a human tumor!
Find out what we learned: video + 🧵!

Leider öffentlich gar nicht diskutiert: Ende des Jahres endet ein extrem effektives Tool zur Unterstützung von NachwuchswissenschaftlerInnen mit Kindern in @dfg_public-Verbünden. 1/n
Big thanks to all co-authors and the reviewers for very useful feedback! Also special shout-out to @studienstiftung for funding my PhD and the possibility to extend stipends for parental leave, no questions asked!
Are you looking for an opportunity to combine #singlecell#spatialtranscriptomics and clinical data? Join my new group in Computational Oncology at Charité as a PhD student! 💻🔬🩺 https://t.co/pPECtGOuXU Please RT and/or apply! #cancer#jobs@ChariteBerlin @berlinnovation
@utfriglowworms@ChenshuLiu We built @FritzPreusser 's WormObservers for ~$150 / piece including a 7" touchscreen, wireless keyboard and mouse, and use them both for worm tracking and for general basic imaging

Very happy that our EEL method for large scale, high resolution spatial transcriptome profiling is out now! Thanks to all who contributed to this fun project! Especially @slinnarsson@SimoneCodeluppi@MossiAlejandro@CamielMannens @jokubasj3
#Tweetorial of our recent @BCD_AACR paper:
We used 1.3 billion #SingleCell images from 390 #BloodCancer samples to train a #CNN. Our ‘mCNN’ could recognize malignant and healthy cells based on morphology, while immunofluorescence markers were only used as training labels. 1/7
We build on the excellent work of others, perhaps most recently that of @preibischs which I also strongly recommend for the novice microscopist https://t.co/cwW9HYLlEz
