I Didn’t Truly Learn to Love America Until I Lived Outside of It
I was just an ordinary American girl when my family left the United States for Europe.
Like most children, I took America for granted because it was all I had ever known. I assumed freedom was normal. I assumed democracy was ordinary. I was ignorant to the rest of the world.
Then I lived overseas.
Over the next several years, I immersed myself in other cultures. I learned another language. I made friends from different countries. I experienced Europe not as a tourist, but as someone living there every day.
What I discovered surprised me.
To many Europeans, Americans were admired. We were the nation that had helped save Europe during World War II. American music, movies, fashion, and technology were everywhere. Being an American often made you interesting before you even spoke.
But there was another side.
There were those who hated Americans.
They were dangerous.
During the Cold War, anti-American extremists viewed our military presence in Europe as an occupation rather than a partnership. Terrorist groups targeted American service members and their families. Bombs were planted on vehicles. Bomb threats were called into our schools. We lived with a level of vigilance that most Americans back home never experienced.
As a teenager, checking underneath my car before getting into it wasn’t just a nervous habit.
It was reality.
At my father’s Air Force base, a bomb exploded near his office. In another attack, a woman opened the door to her car and, in an instant, her life was gone. Those memories never leave you. They remind you that there are people who hate America so deeply they are willing to murder innocent families simply because of the flag they live under.
I also stood in Berlin after the Wall came down.
I watched Roger Waters perform The Wall. I watched people from East Germany cry, celebrate, embrace strangers, and experience a freedom many had never known. Their tears were not political theater. They were the tears of people who had lived under oppression and suddenly saw what hope looked like.
They thought we were superheroes. 🇺🇸
That day taught me something I have never forgotten.
Freedom is not guaranteed.
It is precious because it can be lost.
I have seen the contrast between free societies and authoritarian ones. I have seen what communist governments do to the human spirit. I have seen why millions risk everything to escape tyranny while almost no one risks everything to enter it.
That is why I love America.
Not because I believe we are perfect.
Not because we have never made mistakes.
I love America because I have seen what the absence of freedom looks like. I have lived among people who understood its value because they had lived without it.
My patriotism wasn’t born from songs and slogans.
It was forged by experience.
That is why I remain proud to be an American.
Happy Birthday America! 🇺🇸
We introduced two pieces of legislation.
The first requires Members of Congress, federal judges, and Senate-confirmed officers to be natural born citizens.
The second goes further, barring anyone holding citizenship, nationality, or allegiance to a foreign country from serving in any federal role unless they permanently cut every foreign tie.
America first. 🇺🇸

Someone asked why I’ve been so hard on Gentner Drummond.
The answer is simple.
The more I research, the more questions I find.
But it isn’t just the data.
It’s the mask.
There is a carefully crafted public image of Gentner Drummond that many Republicans have accepted at face value. He projects himself as a tough conservative, yet the deeper I look, the more I find decisions, appointments, and relationships that don’t seem to match that image.
Maybe it’s the stiff posture.
Maybe it’s the carefully controlled smile.
Or maybe it’s because the public image doesn’t tell the whole story.
The more hours I spend following the connections, the more a pattern emerges.
There was the Biden donation from the Drummond household, later explained as a contribution made in anger and eventually refunded. People can decide for themselves what they believe, but for me it became another piece of a much larger puzzle.
Then I started looking at the people he chose to surround himself with.
I posted an entire investigative series this week examining the Joy Hofmeister campaign finance scandal and the network of consultants, political operatives, campaign advisers, and associates connected to it. As that research unfolded, I noticed several of those same individuals, or people closely tied to that political network, eventually entered the Attorney General’s Office.
Those weren’t inherited appointments.
They were leadership decisions.
Then I asked another question.
Where are the well-known constitutional conservatives in senior leadership?
Where are the outspoken MAGA Republicans?
Where are the attorneys and advisers whose public records consistently reflect the conservative principles many Republican primary voters expected?
They weren’t the people who stood out to me.
Instead, I found political operatives, campaign managers, media consultants, Democrats, establishment Republicans, and individuals whose backgrounds were rooted more in political strategy than conservative activism.
Leadership is reflected by the people you choose.
Perhaps that’s why so many Democrats seem comfortable with Gentner Drummond.
Perhaps that’s why establishment Republicans are, too.
After spending countless hours following the facts, I don’t see someone who has simply made a few questionable decisions.
I see someone who has carefully cultivated an image that doesn’t always match the record beneath it.
That’s why I’ve been so critical.
Not because someone is paying me.
Not because I’m working for another campaign.
But because every time I pull back another corner of the mask, I find another reason to keep looking.
Maybe I’m wrong.
If I am, the facts will eventually prove it.
Until then, I’ll keep following them wherever they lead.
🚨 NOW: House Democrats have just sounded the alarm that after ICE detained 10,000 people in 5 days, illegals are “TOO AFRAID to go to the GROCERY STORE” in their towns
DEM REP: “Nearly double the daily arrest rate from earlier this year…That's what Trump's deportation surge is doing to communities right now.“
HOLY BASED! More!
Now make it impossible for them to have BANK ACCOUNTS or hold JOBS.
SURGE HIGHER, @SecMullinDHS 🔥🔥
I’m 70 years old. My father was US Air Force. So was I. We’ve been fighting our nations wars for 60 years.
Mamdani immigrated here and became a legal US citizen in 2018.
How dare a communist Ugandan lecture ME on what it means to be an American! He has no clue and he’s destroying NYC. He’s trying to destroy America.
My pissed off meter just maxed. Circuit breakers are popping,
Eff off, @NYCMayor. You’re in way over your head “American.”
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
Liberals who support this guy have no idea what this dumbass just did to his family.
- NO RETIREMENT
- NO BENEFITS
- NO VA
- FELON STATUS
He’s married with children. So no insurance, pay, health care, or education benefits for him or his kids.
Congrats, liberals. Another useful idiot that wasted his life…and you’ll forget and move on. How compassionate.
@RepAlGreen
Freedom is something we celebrate.
It is also something we protect.
That starts with taking care of each other.
As Oklahomans celebrate tomorrow, I encourage everyone to follow local safety guidelines, keep a close eye on children around fireworks, and use good common sense.
Let’s enjoy the Fourth of July the right way: with gratitude, responsibility, and respect for the blessings we’ve been given.
FBI warns Valentina Gomez that Muslims want her dead for daring to criticize Islam.
Death threats are now the price of speaking truth.
“They’re coming for me — and they’re coming for all of us who won’t submit to the Quran.”
Islam doesn’t belong in Texas — or America.
HYPOCRISY 🚨 Taylor Swift has a net worth of $2 billion dollars.
Swift is shutting down numerous streets in New York & costing NYC tax payers over $160,000 to "protect" her wedding at Madison Square Garden.
Where are the "anti billionaire" leftists protesting her wealth? Protesting her stupid wedding? Protesting her oligarchy?
Rules for thee but not for me. If this was a Republican there would be numerous headlines, leftists "protesting" it would be called a Nazi wedding.
Only about 20% of Oklahoma students can read proficiently.
That should stop every parent, grandparent, teacher, and taxpayer in their tracks.
Our kids are not the problem.
The system is the problem.
Mississippi was near the bottom, got serious about reading, and turned it around.
Oklahoma can do the same.
We need proven literacy methods, classroom discipline, real accountability, and leadership that stops making excuses.
Every child in Oklahoma deserves to read.
Period.
🚨Take a Hard Look at Drummond’s Entourage
If you want to know how someone will govern, don’t just look at the candidate. Look at the people they’ve chosen to surround themselves with.
As Gentner Drummond campaigns to become Oklahoma’s next Governor, voters should ask one simple question:
Who are the people he trusts with power?
This isn’t just a campaign team.
It’s an inner circle of political operatives with backgrounds that include campaign-finance allegations, revolving-door appointments, fundraising while family members held senior government positions, and conflict-of-interest questions.
Many weren’t sidelined. Instead, they were rewarded with influential positions inside Drummond’s Attorney General’s Office and gubernatorial campaign.
The Beginning
The story traces back to a 2014 investigation that led Oklahoma County prosecutors to file campaign-finance conspiracy charges against several people connected to Joy Hofmeister’s 2014 campaign.
In late 2016, District Attorney David Prater charged:
• Joy Hofmeister
• Fount Holland
• Stephanie Milligan (now Stephanie Alexander)
• Lela Odom
• Steven Crawford
The allegations centered on coordination between the Hofmeister campaign and the supposedly independent expenditure committee Oklahomans for Public School Excellence (OPSE).
All charges were dismissed in 2017.
The criminal case ended. The political network did not.
The Bridge to Drummond’s Inner Circle
➡️ Trebor Worthen
Then: Business partner of Fount Holland and consultant tied to the Hofmeister campaign.
Now: Drummond’s Chief of Staff (2023 to 2024).
⸻
➡️ Jenna Worthen
Then: Political fundraiser.
Now: Chief fundraising consultant and filing agent for Drummond’s 2022 and 2026 campaigns.
Her firm continued receiving campaign payments while her husband served as Chief of Staff.
⸻
➡️ Phil Bacharach
Then: Communications Director and later Chief of Staff for Joy Hofmeister.
Now: Communications Director for the Attorney General’s Office, later Senior Advisor.
⸻
➡️ Stephanie Alexander (formerly Stephanie Milligan)
Then: Charged in the 2016 campaign-finance case.
Now:
• National Republican political consultant
• Trump 2020 campaign chief of staff
• Drummond’s 2026 campaign manager
• Deputy Chief of Staff in the Attorney General’s Office
⸻
A Separate Ethics Question
➡️ Garry Gaskins
Gaskins was not connected to the Hofmeister investigation.
Former president of Drummond Law, he was appointed Solicitor General by Drummond but has continued representing private clients through Drummond Law while serving in the Attorney General’s Office, raising conflict-of-interest questions.
The Current Entourage
Current and recent senior leadership includes:
• Rob Johnson
• Jimmy Harmon
• Stacy Morey
• Garry Gaskins
• Trebor Worthen
• Phil Bacharach
• Shauna Peters
• Stephanie Alexander
• Jenna Worthen
The Pattern
Consider what this shows:
• Campaign operatives became senior government officials.
• Political consultants became taxpayer-funded executives.
• Individuals connected to a major campaign-finance case moved into influential positions inside the Attorney General’s Office.
• A top government attorney has continued private law-firm work while serving the State of Oklahoma.
Together, these relationships raise questions about judgment, ethics, transparency, and conflicts of interest.
Oklahoma Deserves Better
Oklahomans deserve an Attorney General’s Office, and potentially a Governor’s Office, where appointments inspire confidence and conflicts of interest are avoided, not explained away.
The relationships, contracts, outside legal work, campaign-finance connections, and revolving-door appointments deserve a full public accounting.
Sunlight remains the best disinfectant.
Accountability over entourage.
