This image sums up why I first reached out to @paolojalbuena years ago.

Like many of us, Pepe is my favorite meme of all time. But @Matt_Furie’s tight control over the IP and reluctance to let others build with it has always been Pepe’s biggest limitation, especially when combined with the controversy surrounding the character.

I saw Froge as a clean slate: it has the infinite memeability of Pepe without the controversy and the likeness to Doge who is not as memeable in any measure.

Years later, OpenAI embraced Froge too, validating what I and many others had seen all along.

And now, here we are.
