He says, "An unfortunate incident had happened here, where with fire in a hotel, 22 people died, but at that time, when people were clamouring for help, few local people exhibited courage to save them, I have come here to salute them. Not only this, as soon as we got the information, Somnath Bharti had arrived here, Riyazuddin Bhai, without caring for his business, laid out mattresses for people to safely jump on them, local people exhibited humanity, this is the real religion... I want to say that their spirit should remain intact, we should stand by them, I am giving Rs 50,000 from my salary to Riyazuddin Bhai because his mattresses got spoiled. I will also felicitate the other people at my residence who volunteered..."

VIDEO | AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal says, “In Punjab, our government has taken a very important decision. Just two days ago, our Chief Minister, Bhagwant Mann Sahib, announced that a law will soon be introduced under which no private school will be allowed to increase its fees by more than 5 per cent in a year. Schools charge money under various heads such as library fees, development fees, and several other fees. When all these charges are combined, no school will be permitted to raise fees by more than 5 per cent annually. The most significant aspect is that schools which have increased their fees by more than 15 per cent over the last three years will have to refund the amount exceeding 15 per cent. For example, if a school has increased its fees by 50 per cent during the last three years, it will have to refund 35 per cent of that increase.”
