Update #1: Reinstatements
@DeptofWar is making steady progress on reinstatements. While we are making adjustments in stride, this is where reinstatements stand:

Of the ~8,700 warriors involuntarily discharged under the COVID-19 vaccine mandate, 602 are currently expressing interest in reinstatement, 104 have been reinstated across the Services, and 115 are currently going through the process.

These reinstatements are the product of countless hours of hard work by the @DoW_USW_PR & Service teams, and consistent leadership focus at all levels of the Department.

This past Friday, I was honored to pay tribute to these brave men and women at the Pentagon 9/11 Memorial, joining @WreathsAcross America to remember, honor, and lift up our fallen heroes. @DeptofWar will never forget their service, their memories, or their sacrifice.

I wrestled at West Point. My (much) older brother was the kicker for the @USNavy football team. So, I’ve always been torn about the big game. Do I want @USArmy to win in a tight, exciting matchup or do I simply want my alma mater to ruthlessly crush my brother’s team? Looking forward to wearing black & gold and engaging in some good-natured rivalry tomorrow. Good luck to all of our outstanding student-athletes. Go Army! @SecArmy @SECNAV

Check it out! @NASA’s newest astronaut candidate U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer 3 Joseph “Ben” Bailey.

Bailey, a decorated aviator and test pilot with more than 11 years of service, was one of only 10 people selected from a pool of over 8,000 highly qualified civilian and military applicants. He will join the ranks of very few Soldiers who can also call themselves astronauts.

The Army Astronaut Detachment is assigned to the @ArmySMDC. Upon completion of the candidate program, Bailey will join current Army astronauts Col. Anne McClain, detachment commander and Col. Frank Rubio.
