We just finished writing up this beautiful story on how transcription factors can generate pulses by using chromatin (led by Cece & @ECosta173 ): Bifunctional transcriptional effector domains control gene expression pulses in an occupancy-dependent manner https://t.co/E9Lf6howKE
Ayer en el instituto se llevó a cabo el Minisimposio por 25 años de Epigenética en México, un evento que reunió a ponentes nacionales e internacionales investigando diferentes rubros de la epigenética en distintos modelos. ¡Gracias por asistir!
A great collaborative effort! Have a look 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼

And it’s out!
Thanks you @NatureSMB for the kind invitation! Come have a read 😊 “Returning home: a story of chromatin and community”

@arjunrajlab There is a lot of truth to this. The advances in sequencing throughput continue. The one exception might be 3D genomics. 100x coverage of the human 3D genome at nucleosome resolution would require 10^16-17 reads: https://t.co/DAwF4VSeNl
Our new preprint is out!
We combined single-nucleosome imaging and 3D-SIM to reveal:
🔹 Euchromatin forms condensed domains, not open fibers
🔹Cohesin loss increases nucleosome mobility without decompaction
🔹Cohesin prevents neighboring domain mixing

Think babies are born without a body clock? ⏰
Not true! By the time they’re born, infants already have a working circadian system that responds to light. Here’s the timeline of how their internal clock develops before birth 👇@LauraKervezee

🧬 What keeps certain chromatin domains anchored at the nuclear periphery? Our new genome-wide HiDRO screen uncovers a key role for RNA-binding protein hnRNPK.

SCIENCE IN MEXICO: A RISING FORCE AMID ADVERSITY. I came back knowing the funding would be scarce, the bureaucracy maddening, and the equipment overpriced. But also knowing I’d find freedom, brilliant students, and generous colleagues. I have no regrets https://t.co/axIr4UJvo3
Very happy this is out. Come and have a read :)) It was a pleasure to write this with @Valdes_Lab_

We wrote this review a while back but somehow I do not see it in pubmed... so here it is again "Distal and proximal control of rhythmic gene transcription" 😀🌕🌓🌑🕛🕒🕕🕘🕛🌍
