We’ve received disturbing reports alleging that Hon. Muwanga Kivumbi was tortured to near death at Kasenyi SFC military barracks and is now being hidden from the public while receiving treatment before he can be produced.
These reports cannot be dismissed lightly. Many of us have gone through similar ordeals at the hands of this regime and were deliberately hidden from the public until our wounds and the evidence of torture had faded.
While the regime keeps the country distracted with endless diversions, it’s now 10 days since our Deputy President of the Buganda region was abducted in broad daylight and since then, he has never been seen again.
Neither the police nor the army have accounted for his whereabouts.
Where is Hon Muwanga Kivumbi ?
We've been to the High Court this morning regarding the Habeas Corpus application for Hon. Muwanga Kivumbi. The police filed this response in which they admit that they stopped his motor vehicle at a police checkpoint in Mpigi, but they're not the ones who abducted him! They also indicate that he's not in police custody. After 11 days!! Well, the judge promised to deliver the habeas corpus ruling by tomorrow, rejecting their request for a further adjournment. Crazy times!
The passing of our sister Edith Katende Mufumbiro hits differently, with all that our brother Alex Waiswa Mufumbiro has had to endure. How sad that those who wield power in Uganda never give a damn about the amount of pain they have caused to so many people! No words can describe this level of injustice.
UPDATE: The criminal regime yesterday paraded before the Police Court, nine of the police officers who were assigned to our campaign! They were all dismissed from the Uganda Police Force with disgrace. Their crime? "Neglect of Duty". The criminal regime claims that they assisted me in escaping from my own home. Crazy!
And yet, in fact, these professional police officers were withdrawn on 15th January, which was election day. By the time I left my home on the 16th when the military raided, they were no longer on duty. But now, they're being hounded, persecuted, and punished because the regime can not live with the embarrassment of not being able to locate me for two months. They're looking for anyone to blame. In any event, these officers were deployed to protect me and not to spy on me. But this is what Museveni has turned all institutions into! He expects them to do everything illegal, criminal, or immoral to sustain his criminal enterprise. Choosing to act professionally has landed very many civil servants in trouble.
We understand that in addition to being dismissed, officer Kigenyi and another were taken back to detention at the police station at the Railway grounds and are still being interrogated! UGANDA WILL BE FREE. For now, we stand in solidarity with these officers, who, like many other Ugandans, have had to taste the wrath of a desperate regime in its evening.

When a woman is pulled from her shower or interrogated in her pyjamas, the goal is not just physical injury. This is a form of vicarious rape meant to destroy dignity and telegraph a broader threat @cobbo3@NationAfrica 👏👇

Here is a picture of my wife shared by Museveni’s son and head of our nation's military, Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
When soldiers on his orders raided our home, they made her to sit down, put her on gunpoint to reveal her phone passwords and my whereabouts, assaulted her, and eventually tore her nightdress shirt while filming. It was only after her blood pressure rose, and she became unconscious that these thugs left her, before she was rushed to hospital.
Like she narrated, these criminals were filming everything and definitely sending them to their deranged boss!
Barbie is strong and appreciates all of you who have reached out with messages of strength and solidarity, as she tries to recover from the trauma.
Indeed, when she swore for better for worse, she never imagined these thugs placing their filthy hands on her. But it happened, and she took it with grace. She courageously confronted the criminals and refused to surrender despite the violence.
Meanwhile, our home remains occupied by the military as they try to hunt me down.
No one is allowed to access my home, not even family members trying to deliver basic needs like food.
In all this, we remain encouraged by our undying faith that UGANDA WILL BE FREE. Museveni and his son will one day pay for all the crimes committed against the people of Uganda.

Hundreds of soldiers descended on our home in Magere last night. Most were dressed in SFC uniforms while others were in regular UPDF uniforms and others in plain clothes. Many of them were drunk. They came with ladders, ready to climb upstairs. They broke our doors and forced themselves into our house. Using hammers, they hit walls, window glasses, and doors. They put my wife on gunpoint, asking her to reveal my whereabouts. They stole money, numerous valuable documents, and all electronic gadgets. They took phones, laptops, chargers, our internet system, our CCTV system, speakers, and any electronic gadget they could lay their criminal hands on. They entered every part of our house, including the ceiling, and left so much destruction everywhere. They grabbed my wife's phone, forced her to sit down, and ordered her to remove her password. She refused. They strangled her and insulted her. They forcefully removed her blouse and took pictures! Speaking Runyakore, they asked why she would get married to a muganda, and why we would dare challenge Museveni.
They beat up our askari and house maid. They ordered the askari to show them where the basement is, where I was hiding. These criminals asked where my children were!
My wife was rushed to hospital where she remains admitted - dealing with all the physical and psychological trauma. Yet in all this, we remain firm in our belief that UGANDA WILL BE FREE.
A short while ago I went to Magere to establish the goings on there, after an alert of another raid by the military on the home of Hon Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert (Bobi Wine). There are dozens of military men on the outside and visibly on the inside, some in uniform while others not.
I have been denied access by the numerous gun-men, who am told have broken the house doors, assaulted the family and occupants, ransacked the house, and taken all the gadgets they could find.
I’ve spoken to some senior police officers asking why they have to keep behaving in such a vile manner instead of issuing summons to whoever they are interested in. They however say they are not aware of the raid, and apparently don’t even know who is commanding the operation!!!
I'm so grateful to my party, SG, and especially my CIC HE. Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu @HEBobiwine for giving me the opportunity to serve as the parliamentary commissioner for the past 2 and a half years. It was a challenging time, especially when I was illegally removed from that office. But thanks to your support, the matter is still in court. And now, I'm even more thankful because you've nominated me for multiple positions, including Deputy Chief Whip, Minister for Presidency, and Security. Mr. President, I truly appreciate your recognition and trust in me. It's an honor to be the only MP serving you in the office of the presidency and security, holding multiple positions among my fellow MPs. I see your love and respect for me as a freedom fighter who doesn't shy away from confronting those who violate our rights. I promise you, I'll bring the fire and operate fiercely. I'll continue to be your loyal comrade, respecting, caring, serving, and loving you unconditionally until my last breath! Zaake omuzoganyi 🔥🔥🔥 The Dictator and your small agents, I'm coming back for you! #Zivuge
