@codybennett@visionary_3_d How well do you think Surfals work to solve the memory constraints you mentioned?
I came across this post recently which talks about a "Surfel Radiance Cascades" which is the first time I have ever seen mention of it.

I wrote a blog post on my implementation of the Surfel maintenance pipeline from my Surfel Radiance Cascades project. Most of what I learned came from "SIGGRAPH 2021: Global Illumination Based on Surfels" a great presentation from EA SEED :)

Only one example of their many many contributions, but I simply wouldn't have the trailer shots for Southfield without Ant's custom designed camera tools perfect for all my needs. They're a Unity magician.
I was affected by the redundancies at @RadicalForge.
So! I'm back to looking for work!
I'm a Swiss army knife developer. I can take your game and make it multiplayer. I make tools for artists and designers. I have a strong C# programming background. Any help is appreciated โค
@heylookitsalan the accidental transition to direct die cooling is wild. just make sure the liquid metal under the IHS doesn't touch copper or aluminium cuz it will eat it nom nom nom
@eztheory @YugSTAR Accessibility in the pre-show is a punch in the gut.
I remember when The Last of Us won the accessibility award, and I had no idea why. So, I researched it. Those accessibility features are amazing.
Every player should see that and know what to ask for for better accessibility.
@chompie1337 For every open-source library I try to build, I must first fix it to make the build pipeline work on my PC as it has a space in the user directory.
@Ybalrid@stridedotnet Hehe, I mean yeah your right, but also you knew what I meant by entrypoint, I meant the "int Main()" part of the application.
I was trying to say that yes, Stride does have superior C# exactly because it's written in C#
@Ybalrid@stridedotnet Well... that is true. How often is your application entrypoint is code you actually have control over?
Unity even has a list of unsupported language features

@stridedotnet@study_of_waifu @akabl4ck Exactly, with NativeAOT compilation coming in .NET 8.0, it will compile just like any other game engine anyway โค๏ธ
@AaronKaravias @stridedotnet @akabl4ck It is a metric that matters โค๏ธ A single language means that the engine is readable by developers who are scripting for that engine. They can crack open that engine source and explore, increasing developer productivity, probably the most important metric.
@ClementineFoss I have a few, but the absolute worst: Eating green beans that haven't been fried off in a pan (just steamed or boiled). The sounds they make when they rub against my teeth! ๐ญ
I'm glad I cook my own food now ^-^
@shaun_vids I love https://t.co/AezbqBss0I for setting up new PCs, it installs everything you select in just a couple of clicks. They make their money marketing their products to IT admins so it's free-to-use.
Just started my first Twitch stream, we're going to be doing some cool C# experiments!
Come and join me and hopefully we can learn something together.

โจWhooop!!โจ I started a new job as a Senior Tools Programmer at Radical Forge!
I love each and every one of them and I can't wait to see what games we make together! :3 โจ
I'm looking for an indie game programmer position in the UK! (or remote) ๐
I started in indie and I'm hoping to come home! โจ
Do you know an indie or AA team that would benefit from having an experienced multiplayer programmer and backend engineer? Please share this with them!
@ChelWongAudio@nftmusicstream NFT Music Stream are using CloudFlare as their nameservers for the domain. You can report the domain to CloudFlare to kick them off the platform.

@ChelWongAudio@osamadorias@RadiantG_ I just read this message out of context and I was so happy for you. ๐
After reading the thread, I'm still incredibly happy for you :3 โค๏ธ
