5 Running Backs to Buy for the Fantasy Playoffs
By Chris Museezer
In this article, I will analyze the players who have the best matchups for the fantasy football playoff weeks 15, 16, and 17.
Running Backs
1. Trey Benson
KeepTradeCut – RB28
Pick Value – 2026 Mid 2nd
Week # – Opponent – Fantasy PPG Allowed Rank – Fantasy PPG Allowed to Position
Week 15 – Houston – 22 – 17.9
Week 16 – Atlanta – 3 – 24.3
Week 17 – Cincinnati – 1 – 27.7
Benson is an absolutely ideal trade target for Dynasty. He is cheap, he is good, and he helps you now and in the future. James Conner is likely to be a salary cap casualty this offseason if Trey Benson proves he can be the RB1 for Arizona over the stretch run. First, Benson is projected to return in the next couple of weeks from injury, which is why his value remains deflated. He has the highest missed tackle forced per attempt college career percent of any running back in the last five years, just ahead of Ashton Jeanty, Bucky Irving, and Bijan Robinson. In his limited opportunities in the NFL, he has continued to shine in this metric.
Any conversation about the best opponent to face for a running back begins and ends with the Bengals. Our goal is to win ships. Trey Benson gets the honor of facing that sieve of a run defense in Week 17.

“Hey FBI, you need to look into the Chiefs next 👀”
FBI: “You think they have been throwing games deliberately?”
“No, the opposite!”
FBI: “The opposite?”
“Yep, and the refs have been favoring them for years!”
FBI: “Ok, so we can look into how many penalties are called against them, and how many are called against their opponents”
“They actually already track that, it’s called Penalty Differential”
FBI: “And how much better are the Chiefs in that stat than the rest of the league?”
“Well they are actually the 2nd worst in the league in the last 7 years…”
FBI: “Oh…. Ok”
“But it’s not about how many penalties, it’s about when the penalties are called”
FBI: “ok, like to extend a drive? Does anyone track those penalties?
“Yes they do.”
FBI: “And how far ahead are the Chiefs in that one?”
“Well they are actually ranked 22nd in the NFL during the Dynasty’s run..”
FBI: “Hmm…”
“But forget that, the penalties have directly led to their Super Bowl wins!”
FBI: “Okay, do they track Penalty differential for those SB teams as well?”
“They sure do!”
FBI: “And how do the Chiefs differential compare to other SB winners?”
“Well from 2017-2024, they were the only SB winner with a Negative penalty differential…”
FBI: “So out of 8 SB winners they were the only team to win it with a negative differential once?
“Actually they had a negative differential for all 3 SB wins..”
FBI: “Hmm…”
“But it’s more about the penalties that happen, but never get called”
FBI: “Ok…. And where do the Chiefs rank in that statistic?”
“No one actually tracks it, because it’s too subjective… but I’ve seen a lot of trolls and haters post clips on X.”
FBI: “Sure… (stifles a laugh) we will get right on that! 😂”

They'll never let you forget that Marvin Harrison Jr.'s dad was a Hall of Famer
But what they won't tell you is that his mom is Laquon Treadwell's aunt
The haters said Kyler Murray was too short to succeed in the NFL
The haters said Kyler needed to spend less time playing Call of Duty and more time studying the playbook
The haters said Kyler should’ve stuck with baseball
They were correct. Honestly a good call from the haters.
