Uahoroka Kauta, General Manager of Finance from the Namibia Training Authority higlighted the importance of the TVET and emphasised it is conduit for improving the lives of the youth and is important for job creation.

The association will provide much needed access to quality equitable training in the TVET sector.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Naanda welcomed the initiative of establishing a body that will represent the voice of all TVET Institutions be it private or public as it will provide the ministry with the means to engage in dialogue on matters that will enhance the TVET sector
The workshop looked at promoting decent working environments for youth in Africa and further encouraging the creation of new opportunities for decent wage employment for young women and men across multiple African nations.
With the high youth unemployment rate in Namibia, discussions are now slowly shifting towards the importance of creating decent jobs.
