@chrislhayes They didn’t give the relief $ directly to schools— it had to be appropriated by state legislatures. The Republican supermajority MI Legislature held those funds hostage, partly for leverage over the Dem governor. Also attached anti mask/vax strings to some funds.

Current balance? Just over $150K.

I will NEVER be done paying on my student loans. Ever.

@sm_osment I graduated in 2015 (both under- and grad school) with around $394K balance, it’s now over $500K… and the thing is, I’ve been paying interest, I’ve probably paid a few thousand (couldn’t afford to do much else) and it’s still this high. It’s a Sisyphean task.

I thought I paid off my student loans in Feb 2020 but apparently there was a 2 cent balance. I stopped receiving bills so I thought I was in the clear. Today I received a bill for $38.62, the interest that had accrued on two cents. Cancel student loan debt already ffs.
