My final grad school paper is now fully published: https://t.co/Edd689wlu0 Huge shoutout to my coauthors on this work @lauren_the_pope, @bio_magdalena, Wentao Dong, @abu_remaileh and all the support from my advisors @SJD956 and @CarolynBertozzi! Here are some highlights 🧵 1/16
I'm the only candidate rejecting corporate and lobbyist contributions because I want to be a councilmember you can count on.
My opponents? Gabby is Big Oil and PG&E’s pick. They just dropped $30k to support her. Matthew isn’t much better.
That’s the choice D3 has on April 8.
Special interests are making politics feel pretty dirty. So… I rented a street sweeper and drove around San Jose to show how I plan to clean up City Hall. I’m proud to be the only candidate rejecting corporate & lobbyist money. It’s time you had a councilmember you can count on.
Governor Newsom’s comments on his podcast were incredibly disappointing to say the least. You deserve elected officials that aren’t afraid to do the right thing and protect everyone in our community, in spite of political pressure. That’s why I’m running.
I'm running to be a councilmember you can count on, which means that my campaign relies on grassroots support from neighbors like you. You can donate to my campaign for a safer, cleaner, more vibrant San José that we can all love here:

I am excited to preprint my postdoc work in the @OlzmannLab! We have discovered the first lipid droplet quality control pathway with broad implications for lipid physiology and diseases associated with LD accumulation and oxidative stress! #lipidtime

We need leaders who are serious about governing, who cares about the details, and who will work for all our communities. Anthony will be that leader on City Council 💪
Fundraising has officially kicked off for Anthony’s campaign. It would mean so much if you’d consider donating to help elect our next SJ D3 councilman: https://t.co/pK1ThaK8XP
Anthony is serious about tackling our problems and comes with plans, not catchy phrases. As Chair of the SJ Planning Commission he has stood out for his ability to get into the weeds on policy and represent our district with integrity.
There are only 125 days until the April 8 election! Fill out this form to share how you can support Team Tordillos and Anthony’s campaign for a safer, more affordable, more vibrant District 3! https://t.co/Mpe8xYfOVT

@JncherabieMD I agree!!! I share this reference whenever I’m reviewing papers like that and the authors have always been receptive https://t.co/iEXKw3FhNz
I just peer reviewed an article rife with risk based language, "high risk MSM", "high risk homosexual behavior", "high risk sex". Wanted to tear it to shreds, as a person who has had these terms used against me in a clinical setting, it's definitely traumatic. Just stop!

In her #NobelPrize lecture @CarolynBertozzi spoke about how her work builds on curiosity-driven research, and how important that type of research can be for our futures.
