On this day, 1 July 1967, Specialist Four William Scott of New York City gave his life while serving with the 336th Aviation Company, 1st Aviation Brigade in South Vietnam.
Born on February 14, 1946, SP4 Scott entered the United States Army through the Regular Army and arrived in Vietnam on Christmas Day, December 25, 1965. Assigned to Army aviation, he became part of the growing force of pilots, crewmen, and support personnel whose aircraft carried troops into battle, evacuated the wounded, and supplied remote outposts across South Vietnam.
On July 1, 1967, while serving in Quang Nam Province, Specialist Scott was killed in a non-hostile aircraft accident. 🕊️He was 21 years old.
The dangers faced by Army aviation personnel extended far beyond enemy fire. Mechanical failures, difficult terrain, poor weather, and the constant demands of flying in combat zones claimed the lives of many aviators and crewmen throughout the Vietnam War. Every mission carried risks, and every flight required courage.
Today we remember Specialist Four William Scott for his service, his dedication, and his sacrifice. Though his life was cut short far from his home in New York, his commitment to his fellow soldiers and his country remains worthy of remembrance.

These are a wretched pestilence. They are never calibrated correctly. You cannot get a simple Coca-Cola anymore. It will taste like fizzy garbage, flat garbage, or some Frankensteinian combination of flavors other than Coca-Cola. I am done with them. They are fast-food Satan.
