@ryanspalding $10k is a common deductible at this value. Many going with $25k. Losses over $50k-$100k and the deductible is waived with the HNW carriers.
We've lost a great one. My Dad, best friend, and my hero -- John Griffin -- went to be with the Lord on Saturday.
We are all devastated by his passing but we are so heartened by the life he led, the impact he made, and the people he loved.
@CPATaxTeam Pay in full with progressive and you should get about $1k discount. Is your home with Progressive too? I have access to a few carriers that have been competitive in TX on clean accounts if you want some help.
Listen to the kids!! And by "kids", I mean nearly every athlete in every sport at every level. Just this "I love to watch you play" (full stop)

@Wildlaw406@jojomonkey11 He’s saying that many people have insurance on their STR with a company that will not insure them. In other words, the company doesn’t know they do STR, they think it’s a long term rental. This is common.
@rhenneberg@SeanODowd15@baldridgecpa Nothing stopping them. Typically a judge is going to understand they bought a responsible amount of insurance and not beat them up too bad. Someone with a $10mm net worth can buy a $20mm+ umbrella if they are worried about that.
@SeanODowd15@baldridgecpa High enough limits to protect your assets in the event of a lawsuit. Example: $10mm net worth, should have at least 500k underlying liability on home/auto policies + $10mm umbrella. Umbrella comes into play if underlying policies liability limits are exhausted.
