We are delighted to announce the five newest fellows who will be joining us at #BIDMCGI! In another competitive application season for #Match2024, we are so excited for this talented and passionate group, and can't wait to welcome them to the family in July 🌟🎉🩺
Whether they are seeing patients in clinic, in the endoscopy suite, collaborating on basic and translational research, or training the next generation of gastroenterologists, our BIDMC GI doctors make us so proud each and every day. Thank you for all you do and happy #DoctorsDay!
We are excited to congratulate Dr. Amelie Therrien who has received the 2022 Junior Faculty Development Award from @AmCollegeGastro! The award will provide three years of support for her research project, "Heterogeneity and Clinical Significance of Mast Cells in Celiac Disease."
Congratulations to the 14 BIDMC GI physicians named to @BostonMagazine's 2022 Top Doctors List! We are incredibly proud of the top-tier clinical care our whole team provides. See the full list: https://t.co/DkfEHJv5nN
The GI and Medical communities lost a great colleague and friend with the death of Hugo Rosen, a BIDMC resident who went on to become a renowned Hepatologist and Chair of Medicine at USC. I will miss his wit, friendship, and optimism. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
Congratulations to Dr. Douglas Pleskow, our Clinical Chief of Gastroenterology, on his promotion to Professor of Medicine at HMS! He is a leader in interventional endoscopy and an innovator for novel therapies and technologies for Barrett’s Esophagus and pancreatobiliary disease.
Congratulations to the incoming GI fellowship group of 2021 - we look forward to welcoming you, watching you grow as Gastroenterologists and learning with you.
Congratulations to all involved in #MatchDay2020 and following a competitive application season, we are so delighted to announce our new fellowship class! Our incoming fellows are truly excellent physicians & we have high hopes for all they will accomplish in their time at BIDMC!
Like thousands of physicians, @JinendraSatMD came to the US to practice medicine and receive training on a J-1 visa. Now a proposed rule could make it more difficult to renew. Read @CNN's discussion on the impact this could have with him and other doctors: https://t.co/Qhf6Hl6I80
Congratulations to the Nobel Laureates in Medicine for 2020. The recognition of your contributions to the discovery and treatment of HCV, leading to the potential of global eradication, makes all of us in the liver community extremely proud. #NobelPrize2020@AASLDFoundation
