I speak courage fluently,
Punctuated by actions
As if it were my vernacular
An apostrophe of gains
Neither taught nor inherited

I speak courage fluently,
Exclaimed by my beliefs
Of dreams inherited and unattained
Of hopes stirred then fully stopped
With the articulation of a native

I speak courage fluently
Some people put question marks?
On my speaking styles
Of how courage rolls out, literally
Through protests and a vision

I speak courage fluently
To save a language once spoken
Now on the verge of becoming extinct
In a comma of complacency
A Period of there's nothing I can do

I speak courage fluently
A language once spoken fluently
By those who fought colonialism
In the dawn of a new leadership
Now termed as an endangered language.
