@Jzuni887@JessicaBerdejo@techteach_csub Jessica, using audio to allow our students to listen to the correct pronunciation of things is a great idea. I sometimes need this myself and will Google words so I can hear them being pronounced. I think this will greatly benefit EL learners as well!
@Jzuni887@techteach_csub Wow, what a great idea! A matching game allows students to connect words/sentences with visuals and can be of great help to their understanding of word meaning!
@techteach_csub I would use both Prezi and Google Slides to present visuals pertinent to the reading or new vocabulary words to my students. I think the use of visual aids is necessary for emergent readers. I could also include videos, and even audio! #EDTE4100Fall2020TC12
@adorador_b@Jzuni887@techteach_csub Yes Brenda! Kahoot Premium has been so tempting to purchase. I love that it incorporates access to visuals as well as the option to generate data which will be helpful in IEP's! I might just have to break open that piggy bank! π·
@techteach_csub Formative assessments are important in monitoring student learning, which is why I would use Kahoot to gather more info. on students' understanding of a lesson. Once assessed, I will be able to tailor my instruction to ensure I am meeting student needs. #EDTE4100Fall2020TC11
@gvidal_4 @techteach_csub I've never heard of this Geri, I will definitely check it out! What age group would you say this is aimed for? Access to data and results is very important and can be a great visual for parents, students, and educators, especially during IEP's.
@fleck_mrs@techteach_csub Hi! VoiceThread is a great site to use to create content and add voice and text to it. It's perfect for group projects. I am working towards working with Mod./Severe students and I see this benefiting those who have issues with fine motor skills (writing)!
@MartinG68901901@techteach_csub Wow, time management is such an important skill to acquire as a student which is why I think the use of a planner is so important Martin! Awesome idea!
@techteach_csub 2. In addition, it allows students to learn study skills from their peers while learning to collaborate and contribute to shared projects, all while strengthening their understanding of the content and reinforcing the lessons being taught #EDTE4100Fall2020TC10
@VictoriaSumne10@techteach_csub What a great idea Victoria! It is always important to make sure that we are reviewing previous material with our students prior to teaching them new content.
@MartinG68901901@techteach_csub I agree, students really enjoy interaction via technology and Google Forms is a great way to engage students and maintain their attention!
@Jzuni887@techteach_csub Jessica, what a great way to incorporate a Google Form into a lesson. I like that Google Forms can be utilized to assess students and I mostly like how quickly a form can be created!
@techteach_csub Google Forms can be utilized to assess students at various points of a lesson in order to check for understanding. I rally like that Google Forms allows you the option of quickly creating quizzes and collects the information/results in one central place. #EDTE4100Fall2020TC9
@MartinG68901901 @gvidal_4 @techteach_csub Great point Martin, it also buys the teacher time to take role, catch up, get ready for the next lesson, etc.!
@gvidal_4 @techteach_csub I like that idea Geri! Google Slides is a great way to provide students a visual reminder of what's going on and can also help them visualize that it's time to transition between activities through the use of a slide containing a timer, a song, or a video!
@JessicaBerdejo@MartinG68901901@techteach_csub Definitely! Google Slides is a great way to promote collaboration amongst students! I enjoy using Google Docs, Slides, and Sheets to collaborate with colleagues and enjoy the ease of the platform.
