Designer, Engineer and lover of technology. My advice to young engineers "as soon as you learn enough to realize you know nothing you will be a good engineer".
@BenBarryJones Good luck with your book. Aligning with your book here is a senior Australian Politician the Premier of NSW Chris Minns literally saying you can't have free speech in a multicultural society. https://t.co/tta19mDtYq
@MmarianneJoseph Lost three of my family killed, another taken prisoner for most of the war, another wounded on the second day of Gallipoli and came home, another 4th light Horse (Beersheba) he survived the war.
@MarkoMatvikov Yes I agree. Whatever government is in power does not want a recession "on their watch" that's why they won't touch immigration and don't want to talk about it because there is no other show in town that will drive "growth".
On March 1941, over 17,000 Australians (mostly from the 6th Division) deployed to Greece in Operation Lustre to support our Greek allies. Australian casualties: 594 dead, 1,001 wounded, and 5,132 taken prisoner. They retreated from Greece to Crete a great uncle 2/4th Inf Battalion and a cousin 2/2nd Inf Battalion both Australian 6th Division. They both were eventually evacuated and came back to Australia to fight the Japanese.
@BaseddLad@isabelleryann@newstart_2024 After 2 years in Australia (or if you have a child) it's considered a "defacto relationship" which invokes pretty much all the same "rights" as being actually married. So your idea won't work :)
@BuildBoost You guys fought the War of Independence why are you still using British Imperial units? Even the British Commonwealth countries don't use Imperial units anymore.
@newstart_2024 The problem now is with people having children later in life the overlap between the generations is much reduced. The grandparents are much older now when the grand kids come along which can limit their contribution.
@skdh@jeremykauffman What do you mean with reverse cycle aircon you can heat in winter and cool in summer. All air conditioning in Australia is like this.
@eevblog I thought the government wanted people to fund their own retirement? Going into a nursing home as a paying resident costs a fortune. Why implement a policy that targets elderly couples with bereavement penalties?
