This thread is a must-read. Lara equaled the curse's power through sheer guilt & love for Mari but didn't undo it. In order to fully own her soul she HAS to counterbalance its possesiveness to protect Mari omg. It could explain why her eyes are obscured for most of the epilogue
@danceonth3moon There’s some cultural Japanese context, especially some translation errors because it wasn’t a direct translation
Look at this thread: also the time script could’ve been executed a lot better, but I’m just giving conetext
holy shit this makes everything even better IM GONNA CRY 😭😭 GOD i wish they had enough time to actually explore this, if they had like at least one or two more episodes to dwell on the finale it wouldve been cleared up much better :(( time was definitely the enemy

@_mercuryblood It was a mistranslation. Luca said that he was confused on like her words because first she wanted to get in a relationship and then she didn’t. She’s not in a relationship with him.
@Qishu115983@Li_ttleh Cause she turned fully human and she loves Mari, but she’s been tied to the idea of love and now she can do whatever she wnats. She doesn’t know what she’s feeling and she doesn’t know how to https://t.co/2vPBusxqJ2 this
Really liked how this one turned out. Was kind of surprised by the discussion surrounding it. I do somewhat see the "betrayed expectations" angle but I really feel like people are becoming more allergic to slightly more complex figurative language used within a story.
@myfairstarlight honestly 10 more minutes was all we needed. just lara reassuring mari she will return and explaining why she is leaving for a little while. a little bit of physical touch maybe hand holding or a hug for one second. think they went a bit too vague on the ending.
@BixelsWixels The real her. (Maria os an auto correct) we can see that she’s a very low self-esteem like even when she was trapped, she said that she hated herself so before she can love anyone and to give Marie the proper love she deserves, she needs to learn to love herself and
