Happy #NationalEngineeringDay to all our collaborators in @SchoolOfEng_UoE and beyond! As we get ready to enter our tenth year of operation it's great to see researchers in both academia and industry continuing push advances in #OceanEnergy and tank testing.
👏 Fantastic to see Tetrasub technology - which has been tested at our @FloWaveOcean Energy Research Facility - is to be used in the Pentland Floating Offshore Wind Farm.
Tetrasub is the world’s first fully industrialised floating offshore tech made up of factory-made modules.
This collaborative work under the @MaRINET2_EU programme was a great experience, furthering tank testing knowledge for #WaveEnergy and expanding the international network of our reseachers.
You may have seen the "FloWave Spike" before, but did you know that the science behind it is contributing to knowledge on wave breaking in the ocean? Through studying these crossing seas we aim to understand implications for maritime safety. #WorldOceansDay
FloWave and #FASTBLADE are again pleased to feature in the @heraldscotland review of Scotland's Renewable sector. Learn how the facilities work together within @SchoolOfEng_UoE to provide research solutions to the tidal energy sector.

New paper available: Is there a good alternative for a class-4 laser and still conduct PIV measurement? YES -> https://t.co/3UxAPcEZ5Q @FloWaveOcean@SchoolOfEng_UoE
"The kids and my grown-up passengers love to ride in my bike, as much as I enjoy riding it!"
🙂Lovely to help another Spokes household get a #cargobike, thanks to a kind #philanthropist!
🙋♀️Currently household grants ended: more philanthropists needed!

Interested in working with FloWave and its partners? We are part of the EPSRC funded HAPiWEC project and are hiring a researcher to work with our multi-disciplinary team testing the advanced control of prototype wave energy converters. For info see https://t.co/5vuQNadYoY
Our article "Hydrodynamic loads on a restrained ROV under waves and current" has just been published in Ocean Engineering!
Well done to all involved and a huge thanks to @GablRoman for his efforts on this!
