Small business owner who thinks M4A, UBI, high min wage, low max wage, free public schooling and high taxes on Wall Street, etc. are best for entrepreneurs.
@avilewis 100% against privatization of infrastructure. Carney saw the devastation this caused in the UK and in the US. Terrible idea.
I say we go in the opposite direction. Nationalize all infrastructure as well as all resource sectors. Don’t stop there. Nationalize the banks.
@avilewis “Out of chaos come opportunity”.
This might be the perfect time for Canada no nationalize the entire resource (oil, mining, etc.) sector and kick out the foreign companies sucking billions out of our economy.

@avilewis This is the perfect opportunity to nationalize the energy industry and kick out the foreign companies. Something we should’ve done 40 years ago.
@internpierre For the past 45 years, all I heard from Americans is that Europe is on the verge of bankruptcy due to socialism. The reality is that the average European is much better off compared to the average American by far.
@alon_mizrahi Are people not worried that it could all fall apart, the world turns away from the US, the economy implodes, etc. Then a demagogue comes to power blaming the Jews for all the problems. We have seen this script before. It does not end well.
@CBSNews The US was on its way to self-destruction even before Trump came to power. The best in Canada could do is decouple as much as possible from the US.
@canmericanized America is self-destructing due to very stupid policies implemented in the past 30-40 years. Trump just made it more obvious. Most of the world is in the process of de- coupling from the US. The sooner Canada does the same, the better.
@JakeAuch@MeidasTouch After everything the US is doing, do you think anyone (other than Israel) wants any alliance with the US? The world is decoupling from the US and it is the start of the destruction of the US. The only question I have is: who will be blamed?
@Ric_RTP China is run by engineers who want to build things. The US is run by lawyers and finance people who are looking for maximum return on profit in the shortest possible time and to keep their monopoly. The results speak for themselves.
@ianbremmer China is the world’s factory. They need a stable customer base and as such would prefer world stability more than anything else. At the same time, they probably can’t believe their luck as America’s is self-destructing all by itself.
@RnaudBertrand It also shows how useless the trillions $ spent by the US on very expensive “high-tech” weapons systems is. Or the MIC is a very corrupt system used to funnel money to a certain class of people.
