@kenocryptomancy Socialism is a political/legal theory. It's not just "I prefer to live in a comunne, but ok with capitalusm existing" it regards capitalism and the institution of private property as ilegitimate.
@kenocryptomancy If the state is an entity with the monopoly on the use of force in s region then it makes no difference if it's leaders are democratically elected, it's still a state.
If a majority decides to take your house since the means of production are privately owned that's a state
@kenocryptomancy Socialism and democracy can only be top down. The firms where owned democratically, but obviously they replied on the state for funding because of course they did that's the only way it was ever going to work.
@kenocryptomancy That's why state capitalism doesn't make sense.
The means of production cannot be owned democratically without it being through the state, look at Yugoslavia.
@kenocryptomancy Where did you get your definition? What its origin?
State capitalism is an oxymoron.
State bureaucracts directing production is socialism.
But your definition of socialism is just one type of socialism. Your definition still implies state ownership
@kenocryptomancy That's Marxism, that's a form of socialism.
Socialism is state ownership of means of production, the abolishment or limitation of private property. Marxists aren't the only socialists
Whatโs actually going on in Ukraine is that there is a massive incentive difference between the elites and the people.
The former have grown very rich off the hundreds of billions flowing to Ukraine, while the latterโs children are conscripted to die in trenches.
@Samukliver@RTSG_Main And if someone sells it at $9 then no one buys the chairs at $10. What's your point? If vallis not subjective and is rather objective then tell the formula in which prices emerge
