Happy Death Anniversary to Dave Nourse.
He was the oldest to score his maiden Test century which came against Australia at Johannesburg in 1921 (42 Yrs and 295 days). His son Dudley Nourse was the first batsman to score double hundred and a duck in the same match.

@Richard25049348 Oh, got it now. Then, it should be a 6 match test series. So, Terry Alderman holds the record of taking most number of wickets in a 6 match test series. Although, is John Snow's record indirectly correct?

@Richard25049348 1974/75 Ashes in Australia was a 6 match test series. Is that the series you are talking about?

@Richard25049348 It was a 7 match test series. England were leading the series by 1-0 till the 6th test match. Bill Lawry was removed by selectors. Ian Chappell was the new captain for the seventh test. Still, England won the last test match and won the series by 2-0.

@Richard25049348 If I am not wrong, John Snow has taken most number of wickets in a 7 match test series (1970-71) which is played only once in Test cricket History. South Africa was banned in the same year.

@fredfertang Herbert Sutcliffe scored century in the first inning, half century in the second inning of the last test match of the series. Still, Australia won the match by an innings and some runs. Thanks to "The Don" who scored a double hundred followed by Ponsford's century

@danredford70 Yeah, just after few months after Dooley Briscoe was killed in the same year. Arthur Langton and Dooley Briscoe were those two South Africans.
