What a wonderful @marinesanctuary reception last night! @NOAA Marine Sanctuaries employ some of my favorite people on our #blueplanet because they share my passion for protecting it. I describe divng with them in my memoir available for preorder here: https://t.co/qf7rzCR0z2
Another R2-Moderate solar flare occurred at 07:00 UTC from Region 4455, this one an M7.7 class. Ejecta can clearly be seen in solar imagery, so we are anticipating an associated CME becoming visible in coronagraph imagery in a few hours.
I’m excited to announce my memoir, Out of the Shadows, will be published by HarperCollins in North America on October 13, 2026. In the book, I break my silence to reveal everything I legally can about my investigations of UAP and non-human intelligent life on behalf of the U.S Government and the profound impact my work had on me and my family. We are at a turning point in human history and I am proud to play a role in opening the public’s eyes to the truth and bringing about long overdue disclosure.
Just received the best endorsement yet for my book available for preorder here: https://t.co/mWYu99xxyp Susan Casey is by far my favorite #ocean author, with multiple NYT bestsellers. Her newest is about #oceanexploration titled “The Underworld” is epic!
On Saturday, May 30, the Geostationary Lightning Mapper (#GLM) on board @NOAA's #GOESEast (#GOES19) 🛰️ detected a bright flash near Massachusetts.
But this wasn't lightning—it was a bolide, a bright meteor that exploded in Earth's atmosphere. Residents throughout the region reported hearing a loud boom as it streaked overhead.
Are we finally getting the truth?
The Trump administration just started unsealing classified UAP (UFO) files. But while the data is dropping, the mystery is only growing.
Former Navy pilot @uncertainvector joins @FoxNews' @pdoocy to break down what’s actually in these documents—and why "believers" still have so many questions.
In case you missed it: Sol Foundation cofounder and anthropologist Dr. Peter Skafish commenting last week on the second Trump Administration UAP records release on News Nation.
“We stand at a pivotal moment in history. The question is no longer whether these events are real — but whether we have the courage to face them.”

The Government’s PURSUE UAP Release: A Transparency Failure
The U.S. government has released approximately 100 UAP videos through the PURSUE program. Of those, ALL BUT FOUR have been heavily redacted with critical information blacked out on screen.
The only three videos released completely unredacted were the now-famous GIMBAL, GO FAST, and FLIR-1 recordings from the 2015 USS Roosevelt and 2004 USS Nimitz encounters. This proves that the government can release unredacted UAP videos when it chooses to. (Compare the redacted and unredacted videos at the bottom of this article.)
Yet the vast majority of the other videos cannot be properly analyzed because of the extensive redactions. While a few videos in PURSUE Batch #2 appear potentially interesting, the most important details have been obscured. The remainder look like typical mundane objects — balloons, birds, or drones.
So why release heavily redacted, low-value videos at all? This is not transparency — it’s theater.
When will the public finally see the real UAP footage?
We know additional videos exist. Three other videos were recorded on the same day as the Gimbal and Go Fast incidents during the USS Roosevelt carrier strike group operations. Where are they?
When will the Navy release the USS Princeton’s deck logs from October and November 2004? Every other log from that ship exists in the National Archives — except for those two critical months.
And when will we see the full radar data captured during the Gimbal incident?
Until the government stops withholding this information, further PURSUE releases of heavily redacted, low-quality videos are not genuine transparency — they’re just more of the same performance.
I met with Japan’s Parliamentary leadership last year on behalf of the @_SolFoundation last year to recommend this very outcome. The U.S. will need international partners like Japan to truly advance UAP research and response.
BREAKING NEWS 📣📣📣JAPAN MOVES TOWARD A NATIONAL UAP COMMAND STRUCTURE UNDER THE PRIME MINISTER’S OFFICE by Charles-Maxence Layet in collaboration with the Japan Desk Tokyo, May 28, 2026
Members of Japan’s bipartisan parliamentary group on UAPs (Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena) met today with Chief Cabinet Secretary Minoru Kihara to submit strategic recommendations calling for the creation of a centralized national response framework for UAP-related incidents.
The proposal comes only one day after Japan passed legislation establishing a new National Intelligence Agency, a move lawmakers say could eventually provide the institutional infrastructure necessary for the centralized collection, analysis, and coordination of UAP-related information across government agencies.
One year after submitting their first report, Japanese lawmakers are now openly framing UAPs not as a fringe topic, but as an emerging issue involving national security, crisis management, aviation safety, scientific analysis, and interagency coordination.
The recommendations submitted to the Cabinet Secretariat no longer treat UAPs as mere aerial curiosities. Instead, they call for the issue to be addressed as a strategic governance and national crisis management matter.
A FUTURE UAP COMMAND CENTER UNDER THE PRIME MINISTER CABINET SECRETARIAT
At the core of the recommendations is the proposal to establish a centralized command and analysis structure directly linked to the Cabinet Secretariat under the authority of the Prime Minister’s Office.
The objective is to overcome traditional bureaucratic silos, consolidate information flows between ministries and agencies, and enable rapid, coordinated, and scientifically grounded responses in the event of unidentified incidents.
In effect, the outlines of a future Japanese national UAP coordination center are beginning to emerge at the highest levels of government.
“What we proposed this time is the strengthening of a centralized command function,” explained Yasukazu Hamada, chairman of the parliamentary UAP group and former Japanese Defense Minister, following the meeting with Chief Cabinet Secretary Minoru Kihara, himself also a former Defense Minister.
“In our view, it is essential that the Chief Cabinet Secretary directly recognize and oversee the UAP issue. This represents a major pillar of our proposal.”
Hamada added that while the government is unlikely to move immediately toward a fully operational structure, the recent establishment of a legal framework for national intelligence gathering creates the conditions for more systematic handling of the issue going forward.
The recommendations also emphasize the normalization of UAP reporting procedures and the reduction of stigma surrounding witness testimony.
“Creating an entirely new structure is obviously not easy,” Hamada stated. “However, we cannot afford to do nothing.” (Translated and in collaboration with Ryoko Kuwata, Japan Desk)
