@saradietschy I think it’s good. Avg Joe doesn’t know about those topics so they won’t know when the AI is wrong. Having doctors use AI to work with medical things makes sense to me, just as much as how someone that’s not a doctor shouldn’t be able to use AI for medicine.

I feel like this is a good start. An overall ban is dumb, but the average person doesn’t know about law or medicine to know when the AI is imagining things. Even a great tool without proper knowledge can be dangerous.

A New York bill would ban AI from answering questions related to several licensed professions like medicine, law, dentistry, nursing, psychology, social work, engineering, and more.

The companies would be liable if the chatbots give “substantive responses” in these areas.
